Can me playing ETQW give me advance in Brink?

(AnthonyDa) #41

[quote=delissimopl;261829] I think that ETQW is the fastest cooperative game ever. Quake III Arena is faster but there is no cooperation.
TriXy U saw Brink movies and u said that is faster than ETQW. Look any ETQW frag movie. I`t looks slower than really gameplay. I think, if we wanna take a good opinion we must patient wait for brink

Yet another polhack writing his posts in BOLD :frowning:

Q3 requires a lot of teamplay when it comes to play CTF match.

(delissimopl) #42

Sorry 4 BOLD. I`am not ‘polhack’ Anthony ;).
Maby Q3 requires a lot of teamplay in CTF matches but I think thatmost popular type of game in QIII is deatchmatch (I spend many hours in this game)

(aie-need) #43

At least, try the pro-mod on ETQW, this is best training (matchs even better, for the teamplay).
Anyway, I agree with rex, CoD won’t help you.

(Apples) #44

QL:CA ftw!

mmm need to reinstall this asap. Wanna frag

Pub player blaming the lack of teamplay, duh.

If we’re onto teamwork, i have to say that CS:S is the best for it based on what i’ve seen. But you’ll screw up your aim playing it so meh

“skills” in ETQW ?
“import” ?
guy/gay, thats thing called “education”.
so, IF you had skill, thats remain w/you.

 Aren’t you able to form a whole sentence? What do you try to say?

(Aristotle) #49

I’ve found it’s better not to ask, as the answer is usually worse than the first statement.

(Susefreak) #50

In Sovjet Russia sentences form you

(Nail) #51

He’s saying, any abilities you learn in any shooter will help you in any other
ie: any game you can consistently headshot in will help you headshot in Brink, doesn’t matter the speed of the game, it’s that reflex to aim for the head that’s an ability

(Apples) #52

google is your friend anytime, still wondering why my “meanwhile in soviet russia” got erased btw

holy hell it was in another thread… I’m worse than russians when it comes to drink vodkaskaia… challenge… accepted!

Mega TF 1998 was faster. jetjumps for the scouts… 20 mm cannons for the hwguys that launched them 1/2 way across the map. I miss the old QW days… I also miss q3f, wolf:ET, and etqw… Just waiting for another FPS game to take my time. Hopefully Brink will be that game.

(Ashog) #54

Indeed

MegaTF with scouts eating bean, farting and moving faster was sure fun

It was a QWTF mod only though, not really a full game

Still have tons of fun qwd demos from QWTF times (almost 6 years of play…). These times will NEVER come back. It’s gone forever, the dawn of the multiplayer FPS online gaming, simply because our minds are not same anymore.

QWTF was a mod too. I used to have all my demos from most of my matches. My favorite was when I got to play pyro top of the elevator on 2fort5 in a MTF match. The other team couldn’t get in or out of there, and we were winning 4 caps to 0 15 minutes into it. Then they decided the only way they could get in was through our demo and soldier guarding the spiral. I was tops in kills on my team by about 10. I finished 4th in kills and the last 15 minutes were kinda boring as the other team’s offense tried to avoid me completely. It was funny after with people still telling me pyro was a useless class in the game. My second favorite I think the map was called impact. I was demo on defense, and we shut out the other team with them sending about twice the normal amount of players on offense. Unfortunately those demos were backed up on CD, and they got lost/destroyed/corrupted or something…

I know none of the good times from those previous games will ever come back, but there’s always a new game. Unfortunately most of them aren’t good, and even the good ones aren’t always popular.

(Ashog) #56

Yeah

This game was thefirst game to have headshots btw!

And this official intro vid still gives me shivers and goose bumps 8)

(SKS) #57

Haha… I remember that… I hated the leg shots though! /kill I can’t think of too many games that ever used that to slow players down.

(light_sh4v0r) #58

Deus Ex had it too.

Re-phrasing of the original question:

Will playing Enemy Territory: Quake Wars on the XBox 360 be useful practice for playing Brink on the XBox 360?
