I have a computer with windows vista. (yeah i know vista… ewww)
I seem to be having a problem where it says in console everything is crashing when you start the game. then it goes to the opening movie and freezes… i’ve tried the running as admin thing, and running with windows xp compatability, even uninstalling and reinstalling. I have this game on disk btw not a dl off the net, but nothing has worked thus far… :? :? anyone else have some ideas?

update to 2.60, apply 2.60b patch, update punkbuster, install proper video drivers

2.56 is where my clan is at the moment so i need something that fixes the issue for 2.56
drivers are up to date and so is pb

btw 2.56 is still full of bugs, updates are released for a reason

That just means the game didn’t shut down properly :).

Try running et using… “et.exe +set g_logfile 1”… it should create a .log file(etmain/etconsole.log) which may tell you what’s wrong.

ill try, im currently re-downloading it… off the net this time since my cd seems to think it’s still installed
