BUG! - thompson ZOOM

There is BUG in W:ET witch allows player to have ZOOM for weapons witch have no zoom ability.
I was died, and spectrated covert-op with garand in zoom mode.
I was engineer with thompson and after I respawned, I was have zoom on my thompson. But I couldn’t do unzoom with my “alternate fire” (becouse thompson have no secondary fire :wink: ).

In this location is DEMO size 441.131 bytes witch I recorded (little too late) but in this demo you unfortunately can’t see zoom for thompson. You can see my thompson is moving too slowly (becouse sniper zoom).
After enemy was killed me, and I was revieved by my medic, ZOOM is gone.

I was thing this zoom will be available to see in demo, but I was wrong :frowning: I didn’t capture any screnshots :frowning:

i had this 2 with a panzerfaust, i got a panzerfaust with zoom :smiley: :smiley:

u cant even begin to imagine how funny that is, on beach assault i blasted ppls asses out of the water because i was zoomed in so far i could see ppl swim in/under the water :stuck_out_tongue:

I have had this, only on Battery has this happened, I spawned with zoom on, but when I changed weapons it stopped.

its an old bug…not only ET…something happens when ure sniper in scoped mode…it can also happen…just if u change weaponclass, while zooming in/out.

(pretty rare though)

I play quake arena and RtCW, but this was first time happend for me in ET.
I think this will be time to fix this bug. Isn’t it?

ive done this a few times in wolf demo and retail…more often now in ET …i must admit…

Binoculars come in handy for Panzer sniping too, I spectated one guy who was using what looked like a zoom on his panzer - then I realised he was just using binoculars and hitting fire at the same time as releasing B. Works great :slight_smile:

it is also possible to get a snipers rifle with 1x magnification (no magnification). Press b and at the same time as you release it press alt-fire

i dont know what can this be good for though…
