Is there a known bug between ET and the Nvidia Refresh rate fix utility? I think I may be experiencing this… just wondering if anyone else out there is getting random computer restarts during map changes.

Try updating your video card drivers and if you have overclocked set everything back to default.
I had problems in other games due to overclocking but by lowering my settings it worked.

random reboots could be a failing power supply,
but having not read your other post, Ill assume this issue only occurs in et?

Yes, this problem only occurs in ET and always during a map change, as soon as the map of Europe with the picture of the next map shows up, it reboots my system. Happens randomly… sometimes as soon as I connect to a server, other times after 6 maps. I don’t think it’s the power supply because it doesn’t happen while running windows or any other game. Any other ideas???

Have you got “Restart PC on error”(or similar text) set to true within your System Properties, I think it’s in the Advanced tab somewhere - not at my PC so can’t confirm
Setting it to false won’t stop the error from occuring but will stop your PC from restarting when it happens so it may help you find the cause>?

Hmm, ok I’ll try that. Although I think I may have figured out the issue. It seems that my monitor is on the fritz, and I think when it’s switching res’s on ET for some reason it freaks out and restarts. I know it sounds weird, but so far that’s the only scenario that is consistent with everything that’s happened.
