What I really liked was hearing an implemented voiceover talking about revive mechanics and spawnwaves and stuff. Here is to hope it will help, uhm, intellectually challenged CoD addicts to grasp what ET style is all about.
The blurriness doesn’t happen when you’re low on health, it happens when you die (blur+red) or are knocked down (just blur). Simple black and white desaturation happens as your health gets critically low, as we don’t want to hamper players too much when they need to survive. Yes it’s somewhat redundant info for people who are trained to look at lifebars, but there are also a lot of people who don’t have the training to look at the edges of the screen for information.
Will there be an option to turn off Blood splatter/blur like there was in ET Exedore?
We still aim to make it as configurable as possible, but the problem with removing the blur for incapacitation and while being knocked down is that you have a distinct advantage over people who are playing with default settings. One of our abilities allows you to fire with your secondary weapon while incapacitated, so the level of blur is a balancing mechanic against this.
The blur is actually depth of field, so you can still see anything that’s close to you relatively clearly. We don’t necessarily want you to be able to see long distances and report things back to your team while you’re down.
I think the health bar changing color to orange? alone makes it blatantly obvious someone is on low health. But just my opinion
Having full-screen cues like this is far more intuitive even for people who’re trained to look at health bars.
Considering they gave a host of options to configure how you’d like your warnings in ETQW it’ll be a safe bet.
Considering they gave a host of options to configure how you’d like your warnings in ETQW it’ll be a safe bet.
Please no more beeping turret warnings! They were horrible and the option to turn them off came later with a patch if I remember correctly.
If there are player targeting warnings I’d bet on turret targeting warnings.
I prefer fading white and red or flashing to a flat color change.
I like this. I also noticed the spinning crosshair when reloading and I like that a lot!
The beeping was awesome, the on-screen text was not. And yeah it came in a later patch.
you have a distinct advantage over people who are playing with default settings.
Its not my gaming mouse
Its not my gaming headphones
Its not my gaming monitor
Its not my reflex and aim
Yes! It’s autoexec give me advantage

Why? Report worked fine in RtcW ,ET , etqw, wolf 2009. And now u telling- its not good. Can u tell the reason?
ZeniMax/Bethesda is killing youtube videos of PAX, about BRINK. Is that copyright or is ZM going to show some other stuff to compensate?
its just a tool, remove it and the noobs will still be saying “u are cheater”, only difference - less fun to play in team.
The game is not really designed for people to spend most of their playtime dead. The overwhelming majority of players like shooting people and moving around, including us.
As far as the teamplay goes, the ‘scouting’ functionality is the job of the Operative, we’ve developed abilities for them that allow them to do all this while alive.

They are getting removed because of copyright.
The fun (although it appears you mean ‘advantage’ here) of playing in a team should come from keeping each other alive and fighting, something which is only boosted by not granting advantages to being dead.

So the game have 5 sec respawn? i mean in all shooters u can be killed and get full respawn timer - 30 seconds, and its normal , u spent time talking to teammates , helping them. How can u help if u dont see anything.
About scouting - its not a new class “operative”, why he be better then infiltrator and coverd ops? Snipers mostly a solo players, in many games ( etqw radar was awsome btw, good idea )
