Good news really. SD have money in their bank and a good enough reason to improve the game and make new content.
PC players have the game if they like it or not, numbers can only get better once sht gets sorted \o/

Exactly, they have the money.
WHY would they spend it on releasing DLC for the people who already bought it?
That is just throwing money away, from a marketing perspective.
People need to wake up. BRINK isn’t going to sell any more copies so creating new content for free will prolly not happen. Also if the numbers stay this low I wouldn’t expect another DLC after AoC.

Quite frankly, it’s probably already paid for by Bethesda.
What marketing? It had a commercial for one week, you mean youtube interviews are now considered marketing? Xbox didn’t even advertis the release of this game on xbox LIVE.
Funny, this was the easiest 1000/1000 I ever got. I can’t believe some people didn’t even unlock all the body types before giving it up lol. Talk about poor judge of character.
I can understand them because I did the same. Why would I play a game which is imo in every gameplay aspect worse then RTCW:ET.
Yup, it might be actually been something in their contract that x number of dlc’s would be released.
I was seeing ads in theaters before BRINK came out, there were pictures of buses having the BRINK logo on the side, it was plastered all over Kotaku and other big name gaming sites, and then of course it was in all kinds of magazines. I’m pretty sure I saw stuff in my 360 dashboard for it too.
How so? The game didn’t have a 1 button do all button, the game didn’t handicap great players with random spread to the extent BRINK does, and the game overall was so much more complex, yet at the same time it was easy to drop in and realize what you had to do. Oh and there was an SDK which let us make the game even less random and more about actual skill and smarts.
It had lots of marketing, at least here in the UK. It was also advertised on XBL. As far as I can see, you’re completely incorrect. Sorry.
Your posts continuously come across as arrogant, mean spirited, and just full of dickishness. On an online forum about video games, no less. Please think about this and instead of spreading negativity into the world try to do something positive. If that means avoiding this forum, then consider it.
Yes, let’s pick on the guy who actually knows what he’s talking about and completely ignore the guy who comes on the forum spewing nothing but fanboy drivel and talks as if BRINK is better than RtCW, W:ET, or ET:QW; all of which were leagues ahead of BRINK in most ways, besides being able to dress up your character like a Barbie.
He really isn’t being that negative, he’s just being realistic and looking at BRINK for what it truly is.

I think both sides of the fence (and everyone inbetween) should just treat each other with civility and respect.
There’s no point trolling or being spiteful or rude. This is true whether the poster is a troll, a hater, a fanboi, a magical unicorn, a bloated tentacle monster or any combination of the above.
Also remember that almost everything here is an opinion. Someone may like X and someone may hate X. Your opinion doesn’t make you right. It makes you right for you.
Can’t we all just get along?
:stroggtapir:
While Im generally with you, its hard to keep this attitude up.
What we got in common is that we played brink or at least wanted too. And especially many in the PC community shared a history with SD, a fact. And that many of them have bad opinions about brink creates a fact, that is hard to deny and backed up by the player statistics.
The fact that money, life time and heart is involved makes the perception of fail even larger. “We paid for it… and were not satisfied.” “We spent our time with it… and instead of fun, it feels wasted.” “We loved the former work of SD and enjoyed it for thousands of hours… and were let down on this one”
All opinions but from a large community which makes them a social reality.

I’m totally for people expressing their love and/or hate for the game. But they need to do so in a way that is constructive and doesn’t insult other forum posters.
Likewise: any defence or attacks on someone’s post should be directed at the post and the points within the post and not expanded to include the person that made the post.
Basically: Imagine you’re in a bar / at a party / having a BBQ and you’re not in a forum but you’re having a cold one with real people and discussing Brink. If you say anything that’ll start a fight / get you thrown in the pool / kicked out without your delicious grilled burger then you should pause a moment and reword what you were going to post.
Never post while angry. Always reread your post and be civil. I understand that sometimes emotions are running high but “you must overcome your anger or your anger will overcome you” (that was an awesome movie… “I’m invisible but only when noone is watching me”).
The conclusion is obvious: Either you like delicious grilled burgers and will be civil or you hate a good BBQ with friends and should be thrown in the pool… without time to get your phone out your pocket first!
Achievements? They don’t really mean anything. Ha, still haven’t completed all achievements for ETQW yet after 3 years.
