Goes to show you that games don’t have to be good to sell a ton of copies. They just need to have a soulless marketing team.
That’s a pretty good number of PC sales. I wonder what caused the player base to drop off so fast? I found most people that I played Brink with quit when they hit level 20. Could the level grind have worked AGAINST splash damage? It was a pretty quick bounce to 20, unlike games like CoD that take forever to hit max rank.

Only 10.6% played a char to rank 5 meaning lv 20.
Only 74.6% even played to rank 2 meaing lv 5!
Thats shocking about sales, but theres even worse about the players:
Only 25% used grenade shooting…

OMG! How many did not even unlock the Light Body type before giving up? Only 10.6% made it to lvl 20! Are you kidding me? Tough as Nails. Only 1.2% completed it! King of the World. Only 4.1%? Are these accurate?

3 things:
1 - if you look at the steam stats for any game you’ll find an odd percentage of people never even get the first achievement that they hand out for accidently turning the game on. Brink seems about right on its percentages for people getting to rank 2.
2 - I guess a lot of people didn’t realise the whole “unlocking guns” thing since only 49% completed all 1 star challenges (not even 2 star… just the first set). I would think the game lacked something if I only got to use a tiny selection of guns with no addons too.
3 - people are sometimes stupid.

Yes its the peoples fault and not the developers for designing a completely idiotic way of progression. Yay lets unlock all weapons by not playing the primary gameplay.

The achievements! Damn, why didn’t I think of that. That’s excellent data you got there.
So 256000 copies, and within 2 months the player count dropped to 800 players and less…?
That’s the worst excuse I’ve ever heard considering this game was MADE for stupid people.
Peaks at about 650 max during UK primetime and falls to below 250 at US primetime.
Yup, me neither. Still can’t imagine how this ability could work properly. I prefer to cook my nades. Its safe most of the time. But maybe I should build up a new char, just to see every ability at work.
Played my one and only jack of all trades build since 200 hours now. Really like this guy now.
we need an irony smily here…
even though the achievments give you some data, they make no sense…
over 80% of the player revived themselfes, which means they got to rank5.
I live… again!
Revive yourself
86.7%
but the other achievment says only ~10% got to rank5…
Time to start a new character
Reach Rank 5
10.6%
did i confuse something here? self revive is a rank5 ability, im certain.

Wrong.
This achievment is about getting a syringe thrown and then getting up!
Its “youve been served by a medic!”
Just for the fun of numbers:
700 / 256000 = 0.0027 is still playing, dang.
Is this accurate??
EDIT:
Yea shouldnt added the % there
The correct would be 0.27% on PC.
256,000 via steam only
i guess there will be another 256,000 via other sources (shops etc)
but this are very low numbers. very low for PC
