There is no Bad Company 3. Battlefield 3 is a holiday release, so it isn’t really going to compete with Brink directly.
The problem for me with L.A. Noire is that it is a linear detective game. Because there is a beginning and an end to the story, you have to get the cases correctly to advance, and so the game will push you in the right direction.
To me this takes half the fun out of it. You don’t get to free-write in your notebook, once you stumble upon a clue, the game puts that clue in your notebook, even if you were not paying attention at all. All conversations have only three or four response paths. This is not Team Bondi’s fault, I think of it as a built-in limitation of the genre.
The mo-cap technology is amazing though.
