You feel that was an attack? Really?? His text size was more aggressive than my entire response.
The problem with developer feedback is that, generally speaking, it is never enough for some people. The developers are aware of the issues posted on their own forum. Suppose Badman posted, “We are aware of the issues you have posted, and are working diligently to fix them.” Some posters would be fine with that message. Others will realize that this token response is devoid of any content, and demand more.
Some want to have the developers regurgitate the list of issues that have been brought up, which is also rather pointless. Some want to know which issue is being treated as a priority. Some, like the post I responded to, want to know the status of each and every issue. How many issues have been documented so far?? Which means taking time off from working on the issues just to tell you in inconsequential detail again that these things are being worked on, which, ultimately is the same response as a token response, or the implied response in my “attack” () post earlier.
Then, as if the detailed response is not enough, people here will udoubtedly start to complain about how Splash Damage is prioritizing fixes, as if they were experts and could do it better.
So, instead of going down that fun path, they don’t respond at all.
