its because there are only 66 PC players online now.
(for others : its not because of time zones,. check other games if they are populated first!)

Man I hope that DLC is released this week and has a full page steam add or else things are pretty much over.

Actually, I’ve talked to a lot of people that have left Brink and will come back to play the DLC. Whether they stay playing or not we can’t say, but I’d imagine 99% of people who own Brink will get the DLC and try it, as long as they know about it and the 2 week free window and have internet access anyway.
I don’t know if the DLC will make people buy it, maybe if it gets good reviews and they were on the fence about buying it to begin with they might take the plunge. SD already shot a big old hole in their reputation, not only may people be hesitant to buy Brink after the DLC is released, but people may even still be hesitant to buy their next title. I know I will be.

But by that logic every game should be down by approximately the same ratio. US Brink players aren’t the only gamers celebrating 4th of July.

DLC will give it a rise. But for how long? Once they are done with it they will hit uninstall.

Lol are people back on 20 gig hard drives or something? I don’t know if they’d uninstall it after getting the DLC for free, but I see your point. Until we play the DLC though, I don’t want to speculate on what it’s going to do to the community after the initial rise
It would be really nice the DLC came with a big title update that addressed most of the issues people had with the game and made people stick around. I couldn’t care any less about new abilities and outfits, I just want a good game out of all this.

Other games are as usual, I dont think the holiday has anything to do with it, infact some games have shot up and thats probably due to the holiday [people having days off playing their games lol]
Brink’s just been dying rapidly day after day and has got to the point where it is astonishing how fast its taken for it to be squished below the top 100. It was yesturday and as it looks untill the DLC is out it will keep going below at this sort of time, then when the DLC hits it will go up and come back down again.
Take Homefront as an example… a game that did terrible and is notorious for it and even that took allot longer to go down lower than Brink, and even now it firmly sits above it all the time… Thats just saying something.

when are you guys stoping making new posts everyday about brink population and etc, we all know the numbers aren´t good, but why almost everyday make a new post about brink is dead / brink population …
This type of posts actually hurts the game, when a potential buyer looks at this sort of posts might think hmm a game with “only” multiplayer component and no players online = big fail so i wont buy it.
But anyway in euro I have always 5 or 6 full servers to choose from. (pc)

someone above asked why we still posting this threads. Why? because i bought this game, and i want to play it. But, it need more than DLC. Whole game need to be rebuild. SD should have posted message for PC players at least week before game release Brink is only console port.
Me personally im so shocked from Brink as PC game, so im playing TRAIN SIMULATOR this days. Ansd maybe i return to SIMS. Anyway BRINK reminds me SIMS 3. new hats, and so on.
