(silver1) #6

Dead game is dead unfortunately :frowning:

(Kurushi) #7

Because they’re all in Terraria! They’ll be back…

It’s not hard to find a server though is it?

(AntiCitizenJuan) #8

What a shame.

(General Techniq) #9

Borderlands sure was a sleeper of a hit. I hope the sequel is less buggy.

Ya could listen to some of the fanatics around here telling us to be patient. How about the people that say they dont need a large population and that its fine people are leaving the game in droves!

Great thread, it will probably be locked in a day though. I wish steam would let me go back to the day after the release to see how many people actually played the game.

(funsize) #11

The numbers are clear: this game is almost extinct. It really is sad when more people are playing CALL OF DUTY MODERN WARFARE 2 SINGLE PLAYER THAN BRINK. I really wanted this game to be good

Ive kept track almost daily (by memory though)

on NA release day it was ~10,000
on EU released day it was ~17,000
from then on it dropped to 3550.

(Calelith) #13

WoW CS is still the one with the highest peak.

(etwolfmod) #14

Can’t see the picture. Is it playing numbers?

(jaxer) #15

Soooooooo glad some one posted hard numbers.

This game is so fail it’s not even funny. Now all the ā€œthis game isn’t even close to deadā€ players can eat it!

SD screwed up big time. Last game I ever buy from them…

(GreasedScotsman) #16

Can’t speak for console people… tho I still can’t fathom playing a FPS well on a controller (relative to a PC), but I’m having fun every night with this game, pubbing and scrimming alike.

Is the game balanced? Nope. Could it be? Yup. Does it need some work? Sure, quite a bit. Will SD deliver? I think so.

The few bugs I’ve encountered are not game breaking. The number of bugs compared to every other PC title I’ve played in the last 5 years is quite minimal.

In the meantime, for those that aren’t turning on VOIP and coordinating through fireteams, you’re cheating yourself. Rage now, but come back after the DLC and balance fixes are in. You’ll probably be presently surprised because the potential of this game is off the charts.

Greased, please know that I really respect the work that you and Matt do. You guys have a nice site and good casting and are actually trying to do something for the community. It’s just sad that it’s going to go to waste because of this flop of a game. Do you have any future plans for casting other games? Because IMO, by the time Brink is fixed (if it is) absolutely no one will be playing it as opposed to the small 900ish amount of people playing right now

Just two things. ā€œI think Will SD deliver?ā€ Personally I dont think so. They might add a few things but to even come close to the number of suggestions in those threads is not gonna happen. If and when it does the population will be less than 3000 :frowning:

On the positive side when W:ET came out in 2003 it was vanilla. It didnt turn good until ETShrub (for the casuals) and ETPro (competitive) showed up.

Perhaps and a BIG if something similar happens this game might pick up.

yes.

I agree with GreasedScotsman, and I think anyone who disagrees has been brainwashed by too many ā€œnew schoolā€ shooters like COD, either that or just plain wants Quake V and not Brink. Brink will be a great game for years to come and the fact that so many players are jumping ship after less than 3 weeks is shameful. Says alot about the FPS community atm?

(SystemOvercast) #20

Ha! Splinter Cell eat Brink’s dust.
