brink could have used more publicity
just sayin holmes.

i mean if they had commercials for this game it would have been a sellout, who cares how many people would have liked it, because its guaranteed more people would have stayed and more people would have bought the game.

so why wasnt there any commercials?
There were commercials dude, but still the bad reviews killed it. Critics played BRINK before it came out, and you remember the horrible lag and all the probs at the beginning. On top of that you have people telling their friends how bad it was…
Now its way better, we got an AWESOME DLC coming out…and yet there’s few players. :frowning:

It had TONS of commercials in the US. A stunning amount.

If you told a friend to buy a week after playing it, you’re a bad friend.

Not that anyone can see this post since my account has been ghosted.

sadly, this is wrong. the game killed itself. when there is a peak in steam of about a few thousand players at launch and now only a few hundred, then clearly the bad reviews have nothing to do with the “death” of the game.

it is the bugs, the lags and the imbalance that let people go. the patches did little improvments. some weapons got nerfed, performance has been increased slightly. thats it. but theres a whole lot more stuff that needs fixing to bring players back.

the dlc will bring players back for a short time, but if they notice there hasnt been any change to the real issues, they will leave again very quickly.

Which is exactly why I don’t give a flying hoot about the DLC.

Can’t disagree with this more. If they didn’t advertise, what were the 16 preview, development diaries and trailer videos that they posted? I call that advertisement.

No point in advertising a 3 legged table.
