Brink + competitive + YOU!

(stonecutter) #1

I would like to start a poll and ask around if you will play “Brink” on the competitive way !

For myself : The last game i played in a clan was RTCW . Well on Brink i will try to play it in a clan and maybe on tournaments !

Anyone knows a famous clan who will play Brink ?

(tokamak) #2

Yes. IF there’s an integrate match-up system like with Battlenet.

(abrain) #3

Nope, no time for all that clan stuff!

(H0RSE) #4

My clan days are way behind me. If I join a clan, it will be for social reason, not competition.

(Nail) #5

prefer LAN for competitive/social gaming

(stonecutter) #6

Can i add some more answers on the poll ?

If not … maybe a mod can add "Clan for social reason, not competition. " as answer !

(DarkangelUK) #7

Well I thought the purpose of the poll was to gauge numbers interested in comp play, not joining a clan… including that option doesn’t benefit the results.

(stonecutter) #8

well now i think you are right :stuck_out_tongue: so dont add it :stuck_out_tongue: but you can use this in your answer

(murka) #9

I might if i find a decent clan and have the time and the game is wort it.

(INF3RN0) #10

Yes, not with a “clan” though.

(Stray) #11

I buy this game only for competive.

(MILFandCookies) #12

My only interest is to play it competitively.
Assuming ofcourse, the game delivers on all levels.

(Diablo85) #13

Depends on how big the competitive community will be.

(0xT1) #14

my thoughts exactly

(Apples) #15

This, if its not too slow paced else I’ll fall asleep while playing! oh wai… its steam only

/me goes back crawling in his cave

Surprised to see you say that as I don’t know of any FPS on PC that offers the kind of clan matchmaking that RTS games normally support, mainly because the FPS games are server driven rather than peer-to-peer which makes it a touch more complicated.

Have you played an FPS that does offer this? I’d love to know if there is a game out there using this system, the closest I know of is L4D2 but I didn’t think it went as far as Battle.net. I guess MW2 could do it now they use IWNet but I’m not aware of them supporting clan matchmaking.

The last game I really got into as a competitive player was RTCW. Tried with ET:QW, but it just wasn’t there.

For Brink, I will do a social clan (if any). Between everything that happens on the other side of the RJ45, I dont have the time to be a competition player, hence why I admin.

(light_sh4v0r) #18

Depends on the game ie too early to tell.

(TheNewMath) #19

Competitive as in tournaments and clans - no. But if the game delivers I will be playing it almost exclusively, especially if I can hook up some i-friends on it as well. Much too early to tell, though.

(JJkul) #20

I’m competitive in everything I do.

But I’m in a Halo clan, everybody will probably be playing Halo Reach.
