With Brink’s unique art style wouldn’t it make for an amazing comic? I showed a friend of mine some screenshots and he said if Brink ever makes a comic he wishes he could do line work (pencil) for it.

It would give the concept artists something to do until the next brink came out. (if a next brink comes out.)
well they are the first, to join the BRINK2 team full-time. so imo they better get started right away…
I’m not a comic fan but it definitely could appeal to those who are. Personally i’d love to see a novel or 3 released that flesh out the back story and the Brink universe in general.
It did fairly well for Gears of War’s franchise. But it’ll be cool because the comic could house the entities instead of the faces. Like random resistance members random security members as opposed to how gears has Marcus Fenix and Dom.
The Brink storyline would have a lot more room for comedy, playing around and expansion as a result.
Well they do have about 20 years of isolation to cover, maybe something like the commander who gives you your missions when your Resistance, he came here with the first load of guests and its a journal of how the 20 years have been and how he got to one of the top positions.
I’ve got a man working on that one. For a giveaway. It’s not complete yet.
As for comics, maybe I should break out the paper and ink one more time? It’s been a while though.

P.S. If you purchased any of the “Masters of the Universe: Rise of the Snakemen” comics, you may recognize these.

The drawing look like characters from “God, the Devil, and Bob”…awsome, but the Brink comic would definitely need the hyper-realism style it has
I think Brink could be done as anything. An indie comedy where it’s all about when fighting isn’t happening and characters are just going back and forth. Action packed guns blazing. Noir detective style. You could really do anything because the story is so fun and expansive.
Edit: Even dramatic survival style like walking dead.

I’m talking about the art style not story, you can’t exacly have a brink comic with characters that look like they were made with Dork Tower characters
Things I would buy if Brink merchandised.
An action figure. definitely.
A poster. with in reason yes.
A comic. If it released book style like Kick Ass. (meaning three books max rather than having to track down 20 something comics.)
First, I love fan work. Nice start on the Brink figure! Kudos!
Second, there are “challenges” with figurines for the game. Fact is, because of the customization and one assumes random generation for the bots, mass produced figures would be generic as opposed to copies of, for example, Marcus or Baird, from the Gears universe.
Of course, the obvious way to go with this would be to offer custom figures a la “Figure Prints” for WOW. If Brink becomes a game that sticks with my community, I would be very interested in buying a copy of my own most used custom character.
Rock Band 2 had this available as well. Assume it still is for RB3, but I’m not sure.

The thought had crossed my mind of commissioning Chris to carve out a custom of a contest winner’s very own customized in-game character, sometime after the game’s release. New pics.

I suggested the idea of figurines months ago, and the members here shot the idea down.

LOL Sorry 'bout that HORSE. I have missed entire threads, or sections of threads over the past year. I never shoot down the idea of figures or any other tangible goodies that might get produced. (I will always shoot down “Making of” features as premium content however, because that stuff always gets leaked anyway. I want something I can hold and look at for my Limited/Special editions).
Yeah, I wasn’t around in November either. Those guys are really against this idea, huh?
There are companies that specialize in 3D printing figurines. I think it is a great idea.
