Brink 'A Choir of Guns' Trailer

(.Chris.) #61
I’m just wondering if you guys have ever seen a real explosion or if you’re basing “explosions look too small” on watching too many Bruce Willis or John Woo movies? They looked fantastically rendered and quite appropriate to me.

Also… blood cloud on enemy death FTW :D
Once set a car (it crashed and was left for scrap) on fire with my friends and that made very big explosion. We also made petrol bomb with like 1/4 of the milk bottle full and it made rather big explosion, nothing like in the trailer, oh my miss spent youth…

Jess Allon all I was trying to do is get some more info on the release date because I thank this is the game of the year for 2011. And I really want it.
5/17/2011? What the hell are you talking about?

Dare you are purposefully spreading misinformation about Brink’s release date. And I kind of wanna know why. 3 of your only 4 posts mention your specific date like it’s a FACT. You never ASK anyone if it’s the date. You are INFORMING people. And to be honest I’ve already informed the mods of your little charade. Thanks for playing. See you around.
Can you stop being an ass over new member and play the bossman around here please? Words have meanings, pick them up more carefully…

Demos are out of fashion. Free weekends and such is where it’s at, but those are only used later on to get the more hesitant players who are waiting in.

I hope those are incendiary explosives because the old frag explosions in the earliest videos were amazing as well.

(.Chris.) #68

Crazy idea, do both.

A guy over a Neogaf mentioned that apparently the release date will be announced next week but unsure where he heard this unless I have missed something over here.

(tokamak) #71

So now we got a possible release date for the possible release date? Great.

(Protector) #72

Yep and just like the release date its not specific  hey i’m only repeating what I have read elsewhere…

(Humate) #73

A close-up third person sound - what you would hear if another player was right next to you.

A mid-range sample - which would be played about 15 to 20 ft away from the firing player.

A far sample - which would be played above and beyond 20 ft from the firing player

Quick question: Is it 20 ft or 20 m? I am assuming the far sound is the one mixed with heavier reverb and delay (echo). For those of you that normally use meters, most men are about 6 ft tall so distant sounds starting at 20 feet isn’t that far away.

I’m not saying it doesn’t fit the size of the maps, I’m just asking for clarification.

^ also i would imagine reduced volume and a low pass filtered sound
