Ok so for the past two days I have been trying to do as much research as I can. Unfortunately everything that I read is 50/50. Either they hate the game or love it. I wish I could do a trial but that is not going to happen. So I am turning directly to the gamers. Is it worth picking up. I would just play the multiplayer. I just got another game but it only has 2 servers with people and maybe 10 people playing at a time…so the options to get into a game suck. So your honest opinion. What do you guys think. Are the devs going to push out more content…are the pc servers full? Thanks guys.
Bring it on brink!
From what I’ve read about it from the PC players… you’d do best to wait until the DLC drops, wait a week or two, and then fish for opinions.
Right now, I think you would get a fairly resounding “NO”.
If your on PC and play in the US there will only be 2 full servers of 16 at primetime. If you play euro primetime then it will be around a dozen full servers.
If you play consoles I can not speak from experience. From reading it seems its difficult to find games with no bots without adding brink people to your friends list and getting everyone together.
I can not recommend BRINK to you. I have not recommended it to anyone after the first few days of release.
Just a note. As of right now (Still euro primetime) there are less than 398 people playing bring in the entire world on PC. It currently is not on steams top 100.
Ok I really do appreciate it guys. I’ll keep an ear open when the dlc comes around and I’ll take your guys opinion. I do own a xbox but I can not play fps with a contoler. I tried for a long time but the keyboard and mouse are for me.

In it’s current form, I reckon Brink plays better on a console than it does on PC.
Don’t be afraid to try it on your X360. If the price is right that is. I know it’s nominal value (everyone will place a different price on it), but I’d say it’s worth around £20 at the moment, not more than that.
Rent Brink.
I won’t be buying another SD game again.
The whole model of “pay for game then receive game in small patched increments over the span of months” is ridiculous. The fact that the DLC has been submitted to MS and Sony “for awhile” but delayed due to bugs popping up only shows that Splash Damage didn’t learn one thing from Brink’s launch and if they had it their way and it weren’t for the approval process by MS and/or Sony, we’d already have a half-assed, bug-ridden DLC to go along with it.
I can only speak for the euro region. I dont know for the morning hours but you get enough full servers at every other time. This ranges from 2 to 10+. Nothing extremely impressing but its not dead and you can play whenever you want.
For steam top100… it is there, every day, and every time i check. now there are 579 people playing.

If youre not a die hard ET/ETQW fan/veteran and live in Europe, I would recommend it to you. Cant speak about the other areas. The most critic talk in this forum is from veterans that miss old features and they are right with it, but it is a nicely playable game any casual or non ET veteran.
The hardest factor is if you have a ATI card or not. ATI cards still have relativly low frame rates and that is the only real turndown.
Personly I play it daily a couple hours end still enjoy it, also as after two years break from ETQW.

Really? Really? Everything about Brink is better on the PC. I’d go into detail but that’s only going to cause a flame war
Brink’s great… it’s not broken but it needs some patching. Player numbers are low but there’s a lull just before the DLC hits. So… if your PC spec is decent, wait for the DLC to land then buy it, it’s cheap!

Agreed. PC version is pretty fine, and it runs so smooth. The COD franchise could use some tips from SD.
And DONT wait for two weeks after the DLC because the DLC will be free for two weeks.
Make up your mind before then.
If you are of average skill or higher with most fps then stay away from BRINK. If you struggle then BRINK might be fun for you.
LOL this is bullsh1t. It may need pushing in the favour of pro players a bit more but it’s certainly not for new comers to the genre. It’s probably more accessible than SD’s other games but it does take some getting into… there are a lot of good players out there in Brink, but this shouldn’t be reason to put you off
Kurushi, this game has absolutly NO learning curve AT ALL.
If you can’t even grasp this game then you should go play pong.
The game even TELLS you what class you need to be for each objective, srsly

Do you promote it? Or should people stay away? Also what is this —> :stroggtapir:
I played the game for 120+ hours since launch, but haven’t touched it in the last 4 weeks for more then 30 minutes. I don’t like the game. Believe me, I tried. In fact, I even liked Wolfenstein 2009 more.
That emoticon is a tapir, which is the mascot of splash damage.
