I’m sure I missed the boat here, but I’ve noticed that I can’t seem to open the Axis teamdoors with a uniform (i.e., I’m an Ally disguised as an Axis, but I can’t open their doors). Perhaps this was unintentional?

Nope you didn’t miss the boat sir, you actually got a first class cabin…

The team doors problem was due to a typo when putting the entity keys in - I had “axis,covops” rather than “axis,cvops” - which is yet further proof for the statement:

Brevik = Muppet

I’m actually doing a beta 2 version with just the team doors fixed for the upcoming Savage League season, a proper new beta version (3 I guess…) will follow sometime in the future.

did your map is playable with the 2.60 patch?
cuz on mine 2.60 shrub server some custom maps are not playbale for the moment with that patch

I have absolutely no idea, I don’t think I’ve ever played Shrub, and I haven’t played with the 2.60 patch yet. There aren’t exactly a huge number of servers running Braundorf either.

It’s possible if you can trickjump, using the concrete next to the main entrance.

It looks like a really nice map - nice design and objectives. My only major concern is the axis rear spawn - it has only one entrance, and that’s at the bottom of two flights of stairs. If the allies get the axis down in spawn they’re not going to be getting out again in a hurry…

You can if you want, but it’s nothing more than the team doors fixed, so it’s not that different from B1 - we have it running on the NW server.

Despite still having a few issues with the lighting, version 3 of the map is available here:

Not huge changes, but done in response to requests by TWL for a third spawn exit in the axis bunker spawn (which has been suggested by a lot of people in all fairness) and voice overs for the objectives.

Also, some clipping in places to prevent people getting where they shouldn’t (thanks to vowel from the Savage league).

Actually I suspect that this only is an excuse for releasing LOTS of versions of 1 map while the changes usually are only minor, and most of the necessary changes could ve been found out about by running through the map by the mapper himself. But alas, we had this topic already.

It’s done, it just needs some internal testing (i.e. Night Watch people) to make sure I’ve got everything in the pk3…

Hey,

after i used your b2 map for the toFOUR ET Cup, got it to the german ESL mappool and swine forced it in the get liga i’d like to give you some points to change, maybe.

At first, the b4 is more a public than a competition map.
3 Spawn exits are just too much, 2 were ok for it. Now with the 3rd exit, the allies are not able to spawnkill anymore with more than 2 kills? The reason is easy.
I don’t like it to play it in comps cause the 3rd exit just sucks.

Your map was already final but there are some new points after the change, which doesn’t looks good.
At first there are some light / shadow mistakes in it:

  • When u go to the side entrance, in the last room with a lamp on the top, there is a black area in it
  • When u go on to side, there is another shape with some serious shadow on it.

That just doesn’t looks far good, so may u can change it :wink:

For more things, i’m going to test it again in some wars. But still don’t like the 3rd spawnexit.
