How many of you are bored? I played lag free, but regardless I’m tired of playing the same missions over and over again. Just wondering how many of you are now bored of it. I didnt think it’d last me a long time anyway. :stroggbanana:
Bored yet?
Ummm, you play the same missions over and over and over again in any FPS. Even ones with multiple gamemodes - the gameodes are different, but the missions are the same every time.
It’s what people do in games and the unpredictability of people that make games different and new when you play them, not the gamemodes themselves.
I will admit I am somewhat “bored”. So I guess I checked off the bored option.
It has nothing to do with repetitive maps but rather the gameplay/lack of options/stupid videos in between/quiet atmosphere.
1)fixed by faster gameplay/better guns
2)fixed by cvar config commands unlocked
3)fixed by giving option to remove them
4)no chat
in summary the consolization of the game
In other games, there are more map options. On top of that, different maps FOR DIFFERENT objectives. If you’re playing just 8 maps then you’re definitely going to get bored quickly. Be honest too, don’t think that by answering your trolling.

there’s hardly any real people playing on the 360. Its lonely out here!!
Meh im still getting put into bot games, and getting the occasional lag, im bored of that, but the game as a whole im loving.
This is purely an opinion.
W:ET launched with only 6 maps, and like Brink, had only one gamemode with different ways to play it (Campaign, Objective and Stopwatch.) TF2 also launched with only 6 maps, although it had 3 different gamemodes (CP, CTF, and TC)
The vanilla versions of these games (especially W:ET) granted me hundreds of hours worth of fun. I actually enjoyed W:ET so much, that it was the first game I played competitively in a league, and before that, I played RTCW, So save me the “only 8 maps = bored,” rhetoric. Just because you feel that way, doesn’t mean it is true.
Some of us (speaking for myself here) can play a game without all the bells and whistles of a plethora of maps and gamemodes and appreciate and enjoy what it has to offer.
What it offers? What does it offer really? Unfinished work, Poor execution, An epic fail, or all of the above?
No im not bored.
Yes it is always the same. But, if you look at a game where you play CTF for example. It always EXACTLY the same. In Brink you have attack/defend and every class plays different. There are enough weapons. And I’m having much fun
So… i can’t be bored
I don’t get people who say this, I play at different points all day and always find games full of humans. (Eu)
To be fair its not as much fun as ET:QW or ET was, there’s that element of charm missing that was present in their past two titles. It’s enjoyable though, don’t get me wrong.
Just little things like the humorous high command voice overs during the map (Oh my Strogg they’re after the databrain!) and at the end of the rounds (You couldn’t even assault a sandcastle),stuff like the News Reels (Yanks, tanks, banks, krauts, goooold!) and vsays.
Why do people keep saying there is only one game mode - there are between 3 and 6, depending on how you count:
- carry
- escort bot, escort npc
- plant charge, hack, repair
These are just as different as ctf, payload and control point game modes are, in fact the exact similarities are obvious.
So please stop saying there is only one game mode.

Yeah, and on top of ALL that, you’re still using guns to mow down lots of enemies like you would in TDM. I love it. When it’s my turn to complete an objective as an Engy or whatever class I am maining, then I get it done. Otherwise, I just roll as a support, which means: Kill all the bad guys. It’s not like S&D in COD where u only get one life. You get to keep on respawning and shoot more baddies, or keep getting killed if you aren’t very good.
I just don’t understand these complainers.
Amazing how these new-school gamers can get bored so quickly. They probably even’t haven’t learned all of the maps yet.
But this is why I wanted the levelling system to be much deeper…
Considering that I still play ET:QW it will probably take me years before I get bored of this game. In fact I played it for so long yesterday that when I woke up this morning all I could see was Brink graphics flashing before my eyes.
I agree that the leveling system could have taken longer, it took forever to get the highest rank in ET:QW and I still haven’t maxed out the XP for every class.

I’m pretty much bored right now and for the following reasons:
Gunplay
The gunplay could be improved. Pretty much all the weapons feel the same with just a few variations. At the top of that, the scopes available look pretty bad in my opinion. The other factor is how pointless headshots are in that game in proportion to bodyshots. It can be 3 headshots to kill or 4 bodyshots; really!? A better ratio would be 2-3 headshot to kill and 6-8 bodyshots instead; more than half. That way, it would prevents rookies from performing well with full fire, which is ridiculous.
Buffing
It’s so gimmick, it shouldn’t even be there…
