[Boosters] Will we at least get our credits back?

(OmaGretel) #1

Even with the new explanation I feel like the drop rates are lower than advertised for many people, but we can’t prove that. Still, I think these boosters were both a ripoff and a scam. Had I known what little effect the boosters have, I would have never even purchased a single one for that price.
Now that they have at least admitted that communication was bad on their part (even though they still say boosters are working as intended), I think it’s fair to ask to get our credits back. They can’t refund the time some of us have spent grinding during the last week, but if I got my credits back and got rid of those stupid boosters, at least I wouldn’t get angry every time I get another stupid regular case after a match.

(Maverix) #2

How about instead of a refund, they slightly increase the drop rate?

(MarsRover) #3

Shoe very suggestively avoided my question about that. But may as well try again

(MisterMurder) #4

Shoe wanted to say that 999/1 000 with 10 boosters will have to play 90 days to get a event case ^.^

I give shoe an 8/10 -IGN “suggestively illiterate from time to time”

(Jan S.) #6

Just add some % of cycles spent to players. And try to explain events more next time.

I just don’t get why they want to keep these loadouts so super rare. I mean they are going to be rare anyways in a few months, when we have a lot of new players who can’t get these cards anymore.
I thought events are some nice little bonus that everyone can enjoy to keep things interesting. But instead with every event they make this stuff so rare that many players get upset about it, come to the forums to rant and will in turn make the devs upset, because they put effort into the event and noone seems to like it.
This could be so much better if they just increased the drop chances to what was actually advertised after so many people complained. How they handled things just doesn’t benefit anyone and I don’t get why it’s such a big deal to them. I would say they are greedy, but giving out loadout cards doesn’t even cost them anything.
This event could boost motivation so much for the players, but instead many people like me just want their credits back and ignore this event until we get our obsidian proxy card. It’s really sad.

Sorry for the rant but I just don’t get this shit.

Proxidian card is best card

(Mrarauzz) #9

They should refund the people imo. It was badly described and most of us (I know I would) not buy them if we knew they were this ineffective. Shame on their part if they don’t. One thing this has taught me is to never buy any of their things again for the next event unless it’s thouroghly explained and proven to work.

(FerfyDerf) #10

I don’t have much to say. I’d quickly turn into a rambling buffon, but I’d like my credits back as well. I don’t expect to keep the boosters. Go on, make them reset somehow, but please… I spent tons of credits on cycles and then on boosters expecting “Oh gee, I could actually get one of the mercs this week!” Apparently half boosters isn’t enough.

So please, could we please be allowed to refund, as consolation for not even getting what we want despite spending lots time and credits (which you earn via time)?

(Cletus_VanDamme) #11

So he we are.

40 minutes until the next rotation.

I’ve played for HOURS every single day, I’m up to 9 boosters now, received 30-40 equipment cases, and no event card.

I only want an event loadout for Saw, Proxy, Nader or Skyhammer.

And that’s not going to happen now. I’m going to get a card for fucking Rhino or Phantom or whoever else they stick in the next rotation and I don’t want that at all.

What a waste of time. 9 boosters = 112500 credits wasted.

I’m not a F2P player, and I’m done. You’re not getting anymore of my money SD.

Good job guys.

(kibloy) #12

Because rare loadouts make people spend credits and money to get them. If they’re handed out to everyone and their mom nobody would care about them.

Sure, customer satisfaction is one way to increase spending, but if you satisfy the customers that don’t spend money on the game in the first place, you’re doing it wrong.
And I don’t mean this in some tinfoil hat ‘dey wan 2 milk us pls boycot’ way, it’s just the way they have to do business to survive. Make things rare so people with loose wallets spend money on getting them.

(Sinee) #13

This event is too expensive for me to participate in + the skins are so fuckin’ ugly they’re really not worth the credits anyway. But I feel bad for you guys that got screwed over. Hope you get some resolution, but don’t hold your breath.

I totally understand what you are saying, but that’s not how they have implemented it. It is so rare, that if you don’t spend cash, only a couple few chosen ones in the community actually get one of these cards. If they want our credits they have to make it worth it.
Now if you do decide to spend cash on these loadouts (they are not exactly cheap), you still have a pretty low chance of getting the loadout you want. You may even get a card for a merc you don’t even like.
People would be much more interested in spending their money, if they actually got what they like.

This is what SD / Nexon are doing when looking at this thread.

(Cletus_VanDamme) #16

Just watched the stream, they’re not giving compo.

They just ignored any question regarding the issue, and spoke about stupid shit.

A couple of plants / csuckers were saying stupid crap like stop spamming, the boosters work and all that.

RIP credits / cycles / TIME.

(Jesus) #17

Nah people need to keep asking. Eventually theyll do something. Unfortunately I cant cause Im jailed

(AnonOmis1000) #18

I had 2 boosters from before the new rotation. A few games in I got a suspect case. Seems like something was broken and now it’s fixed.

Anyway, how could they give us credits back? You bought the boosters with cycles. You buy cycles with credits but it’s not exactly a consistent exchange rate. If you bought the larger package, each cycle is woth less than if you had bought the same amount of cycles but woth the small package.

(SereneFlight) #19

is still waiting for his case

(Mr-Penguin) #20

Just got an M61 Stoker from an event case.
