Again, I’m not sure I understand what you’re saying. If the thread was, as you say, offensive then by definition it offends people. Which is why it was locked.

If, on the other hand, I “care what people think…too much”, and the thread isn’t actually important then…er…it isn’t important and it doesn’t matter that it’s locked.

If you don’t want the thread locked, I can always delete it.

Any thread what falls in the lame category should be locked or deleted,all I saw in the lame classes thread was BS ,id rather see a moderator making decisions on what should be locked or left than doing nothing at all and letting the board get spammed out or simply spiral into nothing but stupidity.Its simple think before you make a thread and it wont get deleted or blocked ,but IMO iam glad that BS topics are blocked :clap:

The thread he locked was one that i put on there that involved a new website that our clan made, that’s why i put it under general discussion. So anywho, our new clan tag is Solder of Fortune in german and our old one was =SS= for shutze stafel. Anywho he said that the SS clan name was offensive and thought the thread was lame so he locked it. OUR OLD CLAN NAME WAS BEYOND THE DAMN POINT! I just wanted to show our new clan web is all.

I am German. And I can assure you that “Soldier of Fortune” is not “Soldaten des Vermögens” in German. The correct translation is “Glücksritter” (Glück=luck/fortune, Ritter=knight). And SS is not the abbreviation for “shutze stafel”, its “Schutzstaffel” (Schutz=protection/security, Staffel=squadron). That may also the reason, why the history section on your website is really one sided.

For me, the funniest part of the whole thing is that anybody took the thread seriously. :moo:

But a thread gets locked, so what? Some people were flaming in my thread, so perhaps it helps the atmosphere of the board to shut it.

I’d argue that this thread should be locked too (not least on grounds of irony), but I’m enjoying watching Immortal making a prize fool out of himself far too much.

Nazi type stuff is banned in Germany and frowned on in a lot of European countries. While it might not be an issue in the US, it is elsewhere in the world, so we treat it accordingly.
