- Clipping through destroyed vehicles
- In the demo map, there is a building on raised terrain over lloking the strogg shield gen… Yeah, well, I died over the entrance to the roof, and When I respawned and tried to get on the roof, I cipped through the body that was paritailly lying over the entrance. Bodies should sisappear in a discreeet fasion, preferably when you respawn.
- When I died and my character was writhing on the ground, the back pack pack, clips through the ground
- When playing agianst the ocmputer, the big vehicle (forgot what its called) always gets stuck at the same point and goes through the same process of “disabled by strogg turrets then repaired by engineers” unitl the GDF capture that area… This is the area right on the other side of the bridge from the GDF point of view.
Big issues with Quake wars, please read SD
In the answer to option 4, the mcp getting disabled by turrets is generally because the strogg have put anti vehicle turrets down and they’ve disabled it. Perhaps if you tries disarming them first you might have more luck getting through. Please don’t blame the game for you own ineptitude.
Bit it happens every time. As soon, as I build the bridge, the MCP is dropped we go through, where it promptly gets the shit kicked oput of it by the turret. Every time, nothing I can do has the slightest affect.
Wait, is the MCP drivable? If it is, then the bot players might just suck. They need to learn how to asess situations. If they see a stogg sturret, they shoudlnb’t just drive into it’s line of fire… And how about retreating…?

yes that would work for the covert ops uniform stealing ability
- if the vehicles are destroyed your way is free, I prefer it that way because it makes the game a lot faster
dont worry about debris, just push forward and rush to the enemy
dead is dead and destroyed is destroyed
2)the Strogg Technicans and both the GDF Covert Ops and Strogg Infiltrator can use the fallen bodys of the enemy for their special abilitys
the bodys decay by time
3)maybe cause there is no ragdoll, whats the problem with it, ignore the bodys, focus the enemy - the Storgg have to destroy the MCP (Mobile Command Post), the AVT (Anti Vehickle Turret) is the best choice
you can destroy it by tank, grenade launcer (if earned by XP), grenades, rocketlauncher, or throw a covert ops grenade to disable them for 30s
Is clipping a BIG issue?! Wise the hell up ffs.
And try playing online where there will be other players who know what they are doing.
lol, really really BIG issues… maaan… looks like all multiplayer games have big issues.
Yes, someone must be inside and driving the MCP for it to move. The above posts already explain how corpses are actually important to gameplay, which is why they dont decay instantly or ragdoll a mile away. I’ve actually never played a game with bots ever, so I can’t comment on their abilities to recognize what needs to be done. Try commanding them through the context menu and vsay menu, I’ve heard they’ll basically do everything you need… like when you call for a medic, he comes instantly.
By the way, you guys are being pretty harsh on this guy - lighten up. ETQW does have a pretty steep learning curve to it, there are tons of little nuances that take time to learn. In the given beta and demo population, I think the same few players drive the MCP every time (I drive it in almost every game I play) and many people have never set foot in it. I see many people that don’t know you have to actually press “F” to deploy it once you reach the checkpoint.
I dont think anyone has been too harsh! If the title of the post was ‘Help I dont understand the game’ then maybe the responses would have been more constructive.
The problem is that the poster started with a wrong perspective, see the title: “Big issues with Quake wars, please read SD”. It would sound as if the issues in the thread are a serious matter, for example some mayor unknown exploits.
Turns out it’s mostly things which annoy the author or which are actually non-issues for most people…
