Better support for cross country gaming

I used to play on an english server in Vanilla wolf. My ping was around 70, now I play on the same server in ET, and my ping is around 170. Why is this??? Is there some bug in the network code/unlag code.?

My ping on ET is usually better than with RtCW (DSL). But I have an annoying bug(?):

  1. I browse the servers with the ingame browser, it says my ping will be, lets say, 30.
  2. I double-click an entry to join a server.
  3. A dialog will pop up that says, that this server is for low pings only.
  4. I press the “Reconnect” button and I am in.
    But maybe this issue related to my provider.
