beta testing

Hi Guys,

Do you require any beta testing, client or server(windows and linux) side wise? I’ve tried to get hold of Loki but not heard anything yet.

Prolly the best peeps to contact for testing would be activision, but I doubt they will let you test stuff :frowning:

Would be great if more developers and publishers worked together closers with guys like Cepheus and third party server providers… would be a bigger plus too both parts seeing as if it wasnt for at least 75% of these guys there games wouldnt be getting played.

pgh, i disagree. it’s all down to the gamers.

basically server providers wants are:

  • stable code (pref. a dedicated linux version. i.e., low admin support time and free gameserver on free os) [i.e. $$$]
  • low resources (esp bandwidth per player, but cpu and ram also) [i.e. $$$]
  • loads of clans to sell to [i.e. $$$]
    .
    Thats nothing bad, they are a business, and usually one on margins that make paper look obese, and anyway all their customers want from them is stable servers for cheap.

Anything else is a job for a “testdemo”, imho, which sadly isnt done as often as maybe it should be.

Looks like Bani & co. could do with a European server or two to help out with ETTV testing, as your servers are very Euro friendly ping-wise I think you’d be an excellent candidate and a great boon to the European ET scene if it could be arranged :smiley: .
