M4A1 is still the best all-rounder rifle right now. It’s maybe outclassed by burst rifles in long range now, but it’s full auto nature makes it still more viable in most of the situations.

I don’t feel like there is a best weapon, some weapons are less good than others but comparing a shotgun to a K-121 is kind of a hard thing to choose.
Every merc has weapons that suit him and those are the best for him so I don’t think there is a best weapon.

Easiest to use with the best all around performance as well? M4. Best weapon when you learn how to use them all? K121 for sure. Nothing quite clears a room like it without needing to reload like the K121.

But recently I have done crazy numbers against all forms of competition with the burst rifles. So my personal choice might change.

BR-16

Seriously, the burst rifles are monsters at any range once you get used to them. I prefer the BR-16 over the Stark because it doesn’t have a stupidly counterproductive scope.

The M4 isn’t far behind though, and is far more consistent when in the hands of your average player.

The players you go up against must be sh*t. Getting rid of a melee charger is so easy that a lame horse could do it.

Sadly, I always get stuck on the losing teams, no matter if it’s starting the game from the lobby or joining mid-game. So most of the players I go up against are decent. A lot of people just panic a bit when a Phantom is coming at them and they miss their shots or run into a wall. Plus, it’s not like I’d purposely go head on into multiple enemies. Just that people don’t always pay attention and once I take out the medics in a room, the others become that much easier.

It’s also so much fun and extremely satisfying getting kills with the Katana.

I’d also say the PDP is pretty damn good. It’s so underrated. A lot of people dislike it, but I love using it. It can hold off entire teams running down a corridor with ease. :slight_smile:
