Thanks for pointing out how memory AND core/memory speed define a cards abilities.

I will just have to make a cost/benefit decision and I can know make a much better one.

Your thinking of my Bro Vengeance he jumps about because he plays on a laptop with a crap graphics and sound card he sticks a lot to load the sounds in nothing to do with my bandwidth or these viruses what everyone loves to go on about.

If I jumped around or sticked iam sure someone would have been sour enough to tell me by now and use it as an exuse as to why I killed them.Iam sure if my bandwidth was suffering I wouldnt PING -50 on UK servers constantly or get my MAX DL speed of 120k or surf the net as fast as u can for a 1 meg conn,iam paying £35 per month for my conn and its as fast now as the day Blue Yonder put it on,believe me id soon know if I had any banwidth problems.

Not all viruses will crash your computer or do stupid things. A lot of them will simply eat up your bandwidth by sending out ping attacks. Trojans allow people to access your computer and if it’s active when you enter passwords, credit card numbers and the like, they can nab them.

Worms eat up your bandwidth and will attempt to send themselves all over the planet, and all without so much as a nice “I’m eating up your bandwidth” message. Worms and the new blaster variants are the bastards responsible for turning the internet into treacle and it’s people like you with cable internet and no protection whatsoever that make it easy for them to do so.

Ive read all of that and u call me paranoid.Sure viruses exist but the way ur going on I should have a ping of 500 on a local UK sever with all my banwidth gone making my connection useless and my bank account should be empty.As for the BBC they might tell the truth with virus alerts but thats about it.
