Remember the thread that was on last year. It would be nice to review the maps of 06 and know what peoples favourite were. I dont think a vote is needed though.

I didn’t play many new maps last year…And my prediction that I would make the best map of 2006 certainly didn’t come to fruition.

Warbell was probably the only new map I played…and I wouldn’t nominate that.

Warbell was the best release 2006 even if it is unfair for Allies at the second phase.

For me Mt. Whoverest was a very enjoyable map, not the prettiest but a good balance between outdoors and underground. Loads of tunnels, little nook and crannys and large. Gives it a different experiance each time you play it. Also it’s dual obj so a good balance and enjoyable for all. Plus its been updated regularly keeping it fresh.

Adlernest.

Great clanwar map for 6vs6 or even 3vs3. One of the most enjoying maps I would say, since it has potential for many different tactics which makes the map very fun to learn and play in clanwar, or on pub servers with smaller amount of slots.

How it works on public, depends on how good the players are who play it. But it is very fun to play on more ‘pro’ servers where fragging is most done, and obj finished mostly when 0-2 min left.

It is kinda like frostbite, just more roads and more possibilites for more tactics. Isnt it?

Also kinda small in filesize, which is good for quicker download. The map has good FPS. The map is very intense until the map is finished, so its high heartbeat all the time, which is great. A cov op can criple other teams spawnlocation which makes the map have more depth which is fun. The trickjumping parts of the map, is gifts for all who like trickjumping.

Or in other words: A high quality map, made by a talanted mapper!

I know what you mean gringo, not a lot have stuck in my mind for 06.
I had a run through http://www.new-etmaps.de/ for a quick refresher and im only up to c atm. And btw thats my ball so bring it back :nag:

mh i like adler… crevasse was kind of nice too ,but much too fast for clanwar gaming

on the other hand some old rtcw maps came in to competition @ cb + esl like frost

but 2007 will be a better year for etmapping ;D just my map will rule everything gg but eg. within the crossfire mappingcontest i expect some nice competition maps

HoG was nice visually and gameplay is fun
but i think warbell takes the lead by a hair

Tbh warbell is terible. No offenco to it screatormbut i cant stand back and here loads of people say how great it is!

I can sit down tho!
