Best Custom Maps?

I’ve tried a few of the custom maps, all seem to run a bit laggy. Some are a little simplistic too. What’s the consensus out there on the best ones to play?

The question is for what you need a custommap… fun, clan-war or only enjoy the grafic and structure!?

none of them are really great, there fun to try once or twice, but mainly to et ideas of what youd liek to see on more maps, or cool ideas that people had. i think there are only about 1 or 2 good custom maps, but that my stupid opinion. :disgust:

Thats right, if you play most of the CustomMaps in Team you will see something (not only 1 or 2) are really good! :smiley:

I like many maps, and I could talk alot about them. A map like, for example, Frostbite, is an excellent map! To my knowledge it works well in match play.
There are other custom maps out there that are good.

ive played most of em, and didnt like them, all but 1 OR 2

I think (in ET) That caen is a good map. But there are to many placers where you can lame. Like narrow spaces racked up with mines. :banghead: :angry: :bash:
Still the official maps are better

Personally I find Caen rather boring (we are talking about the “escort the tank along the quite short road” version right ?)

In ET I (at the moment) prefer X-Dam, Hide, Assault and Transmitter although the last one is still beta afaik it’s got really nice graphics and good objectives. A little bit too much running when there’s few people on but great for 8v8 or 10v10.
If you haven’t tried X-Dam I can really recommend it.

If I had to pick 3 for a custom campaign I’d probably think firstly of

frostbite
caen
nachteinbrusch

like the look of xdam and transmitter, though latter maybe a bit large.

still find “silly ctf” the most fun map, its for 2v2 though.

have had some good fun on a lan with silly ctf, planting mines outside the capture hut is a hoot, nice if lanz made us some more of these types of maps imo =)

i wasnt a big fan of caen, but i did like frostbite.

There are some decent conversions from rtcw too but I’ve played them too much already to really bother about them. Would like a tram though :slight_smile:

I like Resurrection & Carnage Canyon. And 2Hide and North Pole. These maps are as good as the Official maps IMO. Well done guys :clap:

Resurrection is easily my favourite map to play at the minute. Me love jumpin’ off the big wall into the water, for no reason at all, shootin’ my MP40 all the way down :smiley: And climbin’ up that tree for grenade surprisees :banana:

In my opinion there are alot of good maps. The only reason the ones that came with the game are so popular is because we were forced to play them. When forced to play maps for months players develope strategies to fit the map and gradually start to enjoy them. When the game first came out we all heard the same complaints for the maps given.

I personally like limited lives when playing and I have not found any of these (custom) maps with this option on any server. I beleive if some of these custom maps were played this way more strategies would come to play and also make some of the maps more fun to play with time.

I enjoyed rhine bridge, Resurection, frostbite, temple 3, caen and many others ( that I can’t think of right now)

The only custom that I like so far is transmitter. GJ whoever made that! It really requires teamwork or else you get nowhere. Theres a few that I ahvent tried though.
