Who do you think has the best avatar ? If you have none (so far) you can show it here. You can’t vote on your own avatar.

I really like Richard D. James’/Aphex Twin face (that kickass grin). I have that face on one of my desktops.

If you’re convinced avatars are lame, require no skill whatsover and should be banned - post your argumentation !

NOTE: if my avatar looks crude for you (no alpha channel - transparency) it means that your browser sucks, because it’s called Internet Exploder and is one of few browser unable to handle transparency in .PNG files. More on the subject:

Since your avatar cant handle being displayed properly on probably >90% of people’s browsers, i also vote for “not yours” :stuck_out_tongue:

FWIW, .gif transparency works fine, and afaik the patent expired 20th June, leaving little use for .png - at least with regard to what it was intended for. Nothing against it of coruse, why not, but seems a tad trivial now.

Sorry to drag up a dead topic, but PNG is still more useful than GIF - it’s 10-30% smaller, and has 32-bit color and a 32-bit alpha channel… GIF has what, 8 bit and 1 bit alpha?
