so that me and my friends can play your team in a private server.
Being skilled but having a bad team feels unrewarding
@terminal quoting yourself still doesn’t tell me how I can see your individual skill with your friends being there…
I still can’t believe you and @gg2ez believed that lmfao
That was an old video posted on the forums months ago.
Why do you want me to record a video of me playing? If you want to compare skill you can send me your steam so that me and my friends can play your team in a private server.
I’ve seen the video before on YT, in fact, it’s what prompted me to get Phantom (I was dissapointed). I just wasn’t sure if it was you or not
perhaps of I called you out on it you would of started whining again (joke).
I agree with @sensitiveJellyfish on this one. Personal skill is not measured on how one fares with a team. Especially when the entire thread is about how one is not rewarded for carrying…
If I’m playing with my friends there is no carrying issue as we’re communicating and playing together. When you’re playing with strangers, then you’re forced to carry (considering you’re in a sucky team as the best player).
Saying twice that with the help of his team he would crush another team, doesn’t prove that @terminal is a good player. Just says that the team overall is good, considering the allegations are actually true.
In any case, this has gone way of topic. I feel like I’m watching a prepubescent schoolyard fight. Yeah, to carry one needs to be good, but it all depends on how bad your team is faring. Riding that fine line is what will make you successfully carry a team or not. Point is, in the right situation a good player can carry a team, in the wrong one a good player can do all he can and still not manage.
Buffing weapons, nerfing weapons or whatever. All of that won’t change the fact that carry situations arise due to the ELO matchmaking system which tends to compare averages amongst two teams, and high ELO players will get put with sucky players almost every time.
Being good, will lead you to carry situations and frustrations of having a shit team. To close this conversation I would just add to the OP: reach level 10 and start playing in Min level 10 servers. That’ll remove a fair amount of the carrying situation. Most likely you’ll get carried rather than you doing the carrying there.
I’m lvl 27. Min 10 severs are a luxury. I’m not going to bother sitting in front of the server browser and waiting for it to start filling. Nor am I going to join one and wait.
@Lumi You’re overanalyzing the situation, terminal was challenged regarding his skill level so he offered a match. while the win/loss will not ultimately determine his skill, it will allow his opponents to see the individual skill as well. Its not about demonstrating your skill with 100% efficiency, but he provided a trolol video which was disregarded, so he offered another option.
What else should he agree to? a 1on1 on a pub server, lol?

How else would I show my skill?
1v1? Hah.
It would all come down to who has the cover advantage, who stuck their mouse on the target the first (aimpunch), and who is the better person at hiding.
Games like TF2 where 1v1s are possible is because there’s no automatic weapon that would aimpunch the other player to hell and the fact that you can actually out-move your opponent.
Well, if I would have been challenged on my skill, first I wouldn’t post a troll video, nor would my second option be proposing a game with my team around. Overall that just makes you seem scared and that you actually need to prove something but don’t have the balls to do it on your own.
I would have hinted at my own stream/videos and in the lack of that offered to join up in the same server, without my teammates, either to be spectated upon, or compete, whichever the challenger would fancy.
I’m level 24 and do manage to join min level servers when I feel frustrated with the normal servers. I actually would play more often in them if they would exist in the 6vs6 variant. Now it’s because most high levels think like you and don’t bother joining min level 10 that there are rarely enough going on. If people just started joining, they’d fill up fast.

No, I wasn’t “scared”.
I posted a troll video and after that offered a different way of “showing my skill”. Either he actually doesn’t know how to read a sentence word-for-word or he has no friends to play a full game with and started acting stupid.
What is the point of this post? It’s like saying, I went to the football match, it was a bad match. I mean shit happens right? Do you want some pixie points because something makes you feel unhappy? The whole point of sports or e-sports is that it is dynamic and non-scripted unlike say a movie; that’s the reason for the popularity sports.
However, by virtue of it being unscripted the highs can be higher and the lows lower. England just got kicked out of their own world cup at their own stadium…tough cheese. Out of interest are you a millennial? I hear people talking about an entitled generation of people - and keep seeing whining posts about the most ridiculous things, things that the whiners believe can be fixed by implementing some ridiculous rule. Sensitivity paraphrased what you said, “when your team sucks ur guns should be buffed by the server”.
What happened to git gud? The same happens to everyone, I join a team - the game sucks, just re-queue. Also on some games when you get totally owned is when you learn something new about how to play or not to play. Go read Nietzsche, “That which does not kill us makes us stronger”.
Ok, first off, I don’t care how good you are, a good TEAM will wreck you.
Even if you’re one of those guys who gets Unstoppables and God Likes at least once a a day or more, your team mates will either carry or anchor you.
That is one of the main things about this game that is both great, and disheartening, because the simple reality is you can’t do everything. I for example, can not play Medic, while also planting and defusing bombs, while also trying to kill enemies.
And I doubt that even the likes of Amerika or Ragnak could do the same, unless the enemy team is just that bad that tasks like that seem like a cake walk.
Team play is the most important thing in this game, which is why it baffles me why they are trying to so hard to brute force it by hindering players. We can at least revive allies and plant/defuse/repair objectives, but why we can not toss ammo or give an ally a quick fix with a syringe is beyond me.
These things wouldn’t in any way nerf Support or Medic classes anymore than everyone can plant bombs nerfs Engineers, but it DOES encourage people to think about others more than themselves.
I mean if I had Bush with Spares I could afford to give out a clip or two to an ally and still have ammo left to spare for myself. Or if there was a perk that say, gave me 3 syringes, instead of 2, and syringes replaced health regen, I could toss our Fragger one and allow him to heal himself when the Medic isn’t around. And unlike having a Medic, I wouldn’t be able to revive as fast, nor would I be able to effortlessly heal people like he would.
To me, I think if we’re going to have this flawed 3 mercs only system on public play, then we need to think of other solutions to allow people to play together and still have some advantage to doing it.
Cause not everyone will have a Medic, or a Support guy, and you simply can not expect pub players to think of these things, they’ll play what they like, not what they HAVE to.

What they should do is buff all mercs hp pool and buff headshot multiplier. Make gibbing with explosives more difficult, fast ttk still possible for talented players. And yea its misery to play this game with a poorly comped/unskilled/dgaf team.
