i spent some time to google around, but all scripts i found were meant to
be used withing rtcw. et however seems to ignore some setting (fovalpha
just to mention a single one)… i’ve seen lots and lots of uncluttered shots
of et maps… but i really cant find the according script to clear up my hud.
hints, infos, ideas, blackmails?
help would be greatly appreciated.

fireteam, health, ammo (weapicon), this ugly head, skills… all remains on
the screen when the shot is taken… only 2d stuff which is removed are
crosshair and compass… wuhuhuhaa… i’m so sad about it.

If you want to have it completely uncluttered you have to record a demo. Then (while you replay it) enter “/cg_draw2d 0” in the console, and use F11 (Shot???.jpg) or F12 (<Date><Time><Map name>.jpg) for screenshots. If you want TGA screenshots you have to start/stop “AVI recording”, just press F2 and then F1…

after long searching i’ve found a ‘clear-screen-toggle-script’ … [edit] oops, just noticed that it had this ‘hudalpha’-var in it -> only for rtcw :banghead: [/edit]

well, that’s kinda complicated, isn’t it?
actually the et-pro mod (or was it et tourney??) moved some hud elemtents
around, removed the head in the lower left and changed the way your skills
are displayed to some small numbers (1 to 4) instead of showing those stars.
so there MUST be a way, to remove those hud elements… i don’t want to
record a demo, load it, type something in the console and THEN press a key
just to get a single screenshot. that’s not really worth the work…

yep, those rtcw-only scripts are quite spread… hundreds of them i found…
(but i won’t start playing rtcw only to make some screenshots )
