Doesn’t want to though, you can’t defend yourself if you want this award, you need to be a lemming
Battlesense Wreath
I actually have about 450 or so xp for this and I never just run away and hide. If I do ever run away it’s for about 2 seconds while my gun overheats then I’m right back in peoples faces.
My BS XP is 8120/12000, 1566/3000, and 305/600, after playing only pubs for five months (249 hours), never really caring about BS XP. I don’t know if that’s crappy or not, but I do have lag issues that I could probably blame for it…
I suppose the BS Wreath isn’t something to be proud of. But BS is there to encourage you to be active in the game, instead of just fooling around. And if you’re getting Wreath XP, at least you’re taking fire, and someone else on your team is not
fatalking / XVI was referring to Console version.
On PS3 there is no specific sprint function, there is a slight speed advantage using knife over pistol, granted its not much but, I also find the auto switch to defibs and revive action (L1 button) is quicker with knife out when u approach.
Its pretty much a circle and strafe but for revives.
I wouldnt solely play a match with the intention of never firing. But there are many periods in a defensive map when you can adopt the strategy for a while to finish an acheivement, if u so wish.
For me it completed through natural gameplay. i play med/tech a lot…
If it is gained as it’s stated here where you have to take some amount of damage and then none for at least 45 seconds I wouldn’t call that normal gameplay. I honestly have never gone more than 45 seconds without taking damage unless I am either too far away from anything that i don’t receive any damage at all or if I get killed and gibbed with a 30 second respawn timer and can’t get to the front lines in 15 seconds, and honestly the only reason it should ever take more than 15 seconds to get to the frontlines is if you either are spawning at a back spawn or don’t have the forward.
Also, yes I have played both the console version (my PS3) and the desktop.
I think you can receive as much damage as you like, you just can’t deal any damage for 45 seconds.
Just to clarify since there seems to be some confusion. Every 45 seconds the server checks to see if you are alive and have been alive for that duration. If you are then you are awarded battlesense XP, it determines what type of battlesense it is depending on whether you dealt damage and didn’t receive any, received damage but didn’t deal any or both received and dealt it.
You can go for constructs, hacks, planting HE, using arty, vehicles or weapons etc
For BS, just play for a really long time… and then BAM the award turns up. It’s just how this one works.
Well, i dont think there is enough time in my life to obtain BS Wreath; even if i played as much as some of the most prominent pubstars. Unless you go afk or sth, there is just no way not to deal any damage in 45 seconds, if you know how to play.
Why is he a “queerbag”? I don’t understand the logic behind the statement. Everybody has fun in different ways, maybe his was doing objectives and stuff and that’s all he did?
the statement is ridiculous, but if you play online you are expected within reason to do your best to help your team. Not firing your weapon will not help much.
Yeah I know that, but most people play the way they want, online or not, and to have fun and not everybody has fun the same way. While I agree he didn’t do much of anything to ever help his team, he may have had a load of fun.
well, personally i dont give a damn what others do as long as it doesnt directly inhibit my gameplay experience (like tking); so i wouldnt mind a player who decided for some reason they dont want to kill.
Having said that, I can totally understand people that would not want someone like that on their team, and who would try to vote that person off.

This logic. I think choosing not to kill an enemy in a game with “War” somewhere in the title is generally against the greater good (i.e.), and even though this is an objective game, being self-servient has proven to be deconstructive towards teamwork.
When I finally got the BS award, it was more like WTF is this award and what does it do? Must done a pile of running away I guess.
