I cannot say that I am friend with his creator because we have some strong incompatibilities, and strong different basis of values. Regarding that, I am perhaps not the best person to speak about that mod … 
But I post this message in the goal to be Fair because I use the Full Version of the BastardMod since many months on some of my servers. (At the basis it have been for testing only, but now for always).
And like the french philosopher Voltaire have said : “I do not like what you say, but I will fight up to death for your right of speaking.”
The BastardMod “Full Version” is interesting concerning many points, and I find it stable.
BastardMod is for part based on ETPub, but it is a new MOD that is including some new weaps and features. The BastardMod is interesting and you should not be scared to use it.
The BastardMod seems to be a good balance between many choices of Mods.
Is the mod finished ?
Not seems the case, For the moment the MOD seems always in test and his creator is always working on it.
Was it usable ?
Yes it is, but I suggest to use the Linux version because the Windows version have some small problems with some dependencies (but without regarding that can work on Windows because problems are very little).
His creator will perhaps not enjoy about my post (not known if he already got enjoyed one day?). But I think that your support could always be welcomed, because all initiatives that help to keep Wolfenstein Enemy Territory alive is a good initiative.
