No, mate, you swarm every possible thread with your “jokes”, ie “this game sucks”. Pure definition of a cave troll, who can’t leave his cave, he loves it so much!
Baffled by the bad press - gaming community not able to adapt to innovative gameplay?
Well, I only troll once for every 10 times I get a fatal OpenGL crash.
p.s. This game is terrible. A ton of other people agree with me. It’s kind of objectively true.
Choke points. Yes, people who know Brand Damage’s games won’t be disappointed. But for everyone else - the preview videos were downright misleading, they hinted at much more open levels, where you could run over roofs (remember the chase scene with 2 operatives ?) and always have multiple paths. Remember the video with the security gate (red lasers) ? Sliding under it, climbing over it…
I agree. They could have made this a much bigger deal in the game. As it stands now, the parkour aspect is very underplayed. Chokepoint after chokepoint after small rooms or big, flat open areas. This is not the best use for a climbing-system. I hope to see some maps in the future that was made with this in mind.
God you assume so much.
And if people are already bored, they’re doing it wrong? Wow, I didn’t know people could have different opinions! Apparently, according to YOU, everyone should love this game because this is the best game out there! How about… people are bored with it already because the game is BORING?!
i just cant help myself if your bored with the game trade it in and leave the splash damage forums your services are no longer needed thank you for your time spent now let it go breath deeply its ok life is good!!!
Uh, for $23? No, thanks. I paid $60 and this game isn’t even a month old.
If people are bored with this game, then they have the right to go on the internet and voice their opinion. It will save other people the trouble. Isn’t it great how many people didn’t buy this game because of the negativity in these forums? And thanks to all the negativity, barely anyone will be playing this game! But it’s okay, you hardcore gamers have your community.
here’s a fun quote
"Brink is kind of a weird experience. Basically boils down to this:
Launch Game
If the game is unplayable (sorry ATI users)
- It sucks and is the worst thing ever and will die within a week (toss in some console rage)
1-2 hours and under of playtime
- What the hell is going on how do I do anything what the gently caress is the objective wheel why do I not have any unlocks I am good with computers but oh god how did i get here i am not good at this
2-3 hours of playtime
- Well I can make a cool looking dude now so it’s not too bad.
- Wow, doing those challenge rooms paid off!
3 hours of playtime
- Oh, that’s how the objective wheel works and why some objectives are yellow and some are blue.
- Neat, the thin guy is pretty fast!
4 hours of playtime
- Oh that’s what command posts do
5 hours of playtime
- Hey this is pretty fun.
- God drat turrets are useless.
- Carb-9 24/7
6 hours of playtime and beyond (friendless)
- Jesus Christ fine I’ll switch to the required class even though I’m not specced. How can everyone on my team loving suck? Why am I tossing out buffs left right and centre but getting gently caress all. There goes three medics running past me as I die on the floor. God where the gently caress are you morons going, GO TO THE OBJECTIVE. Don’t you know what the gently caress the objective wheel is!?
6 hours of playtime and beyond (with friends)
- We are the mighty and undefeatable horde of objective based players that accomplish monumental feats of manliness by buffing one another and using the strange and mystical tactic of working together. The rivers run red with pubbie blood while the air is moist with the evaporating pubbie tears. Also the VOIP channel is filled with crying pubbie rage from someone that doesn’t have push-to-talk enabled. "

too long; didn’t quote[/QUOTE]
Thats is so true in my case. Every step of the way apart from 6++.
The game seemed bad at first, but it grew on me. Loved it the more I played. It still has flaws and is not reaching full potential, but I still play onward.

Ha! I want some version of this tattooed on my arm.
That’s only really fun if you’re an unquestionable fanboy.
Getting to that final point, on ps3 at least, is currently a game within itself.
What is innovative about a consolized ET?
Can someone please explain where the innovation in Brink is? Awkwardly lunging over things any other game would simply have to jump over (using the same key)?
There’s no innovation in Brink, it is worse than ET in every aspect
