tbh I wouldn’t mind seeing something like this either. They could perhaps add an animation sequence to it(kinda like the neck break in titanfall or the knife kill in ghost) to make sure you couldn’t just spam it.

Wasn’t there an augment dealing 20% more damage to melee? …although probably that might not be enough to kill, right?

Would rather their not be 1 shot melee since it takes 4+ headshots to kill someone.

you should be able to use a strong melee attack from behind to kill in 1 go. That’s rather unfair that you can’t.

Not a fan of instant kill backstabs as it always boils down to point blank range without a shotty being melee fights only and strafing / jumping fast, like all modern FPS and unlike old SD ones.

Also, it’s an absolutely obvious skill / perk for a Covert ops class to have, making them more unique.

If you have something like an SMG they can still turn around and 1 shot you with a shotgun or even a sniper in some cases. Back advantage in this game isn’t nearly as useful because of how difficult it is to A. hit someone and B. kill and gib someone.

Battlefield 4 style knife executions would be awesome. You get the one hit kill kill but you’re vulnerable while performing the task as it’s not instant. Being cynical though it seems like a lot of animation effort that SD won’t be willing to do.

Gotta love how they go for the dog tags before the kill in a lot of these :smiley:

And yes, that’s a lot of animation work, but if it was only done for backstabs, then you don’t need so many variations. I kind of liked the way Titanfall did it where the neck snap would twist the head of the victim around for a good look at the player who just killed them :cool:

I totally hate this kind of animations in a FPS. This transforms me in a spectator and not a player.

This is a good thing for me to be able to kill the player behind me if I’m enough fast and accurate.

I like the current implementation of the knife mechanics in Dirty Bomb.
