Argh I’ve just tried to connect to some servers.
But all i get is “Awaiting challenge …”.
:frowning:
I’ve deleted some pk3’s already.
But still the same.
Any cure?

it is happening to several others also. From what i can gather no one can hit the master game servers. Traceroutes and pings die before they get to the master game servers. I have this from clan members in several different countries and it is happening to them.

Yeh, I posted the same problem in the other thread (the title is probably bad though). It looks like a punkbuster issue. I turned PB off on my server and people are starting to connect without any problems. The PB auth server down?

Either that or PB prevents connecting when etmaster browser is down.

id runs the master server, and it’s never been a problem playing when it’s been down in the past.

What’s weird now is that some servers (with PB enabled) have no problem at all, but others are impossible to connect to. I’d recommend you try again now though, because the few servers I tested that had the problem earlier are apparently working again.

I was able to connect to a server.
But after joining the game I got kicked because of “PB Init Failure”.

I went to Seeing Eye. Only about 20% of the servers have access. There was a problem earlier on the Id servers. Doesn’t look like it’s fixed yet.

I see nothing about this on evenbalances site or punkbusted, whats up they just want us all to go to etpro? It still is not letting anyone on my one server with pb on, and will let them on the other one after about 5 trys of login. :angry:

Seems PB released a new version the other, wonder if that has anything to do with it…

Anyone else seeing the same issue continuing?

My big public server is empty now… logs show me this, repeated:

Client 12 connecting with 50 challenge ping
^3PunkBuster Server: Client trying to connect from xxx.xxx.xxx.159:61656 is supplying bad information

Never lets anyone connect… so I’ve disabled PB on the server for now and people are connecting fine. Hope they fix this quick.

I’ve submitted a ticket there as well. Perhaps if a bunch of us do it, they’ll get off their rear ends and start fixing stuff
