As for Jess. I believe he is entitled to his opinion in an open forum hosted by the devs. Anyone arguing against him (or insulting him) is merely facilitating the appearance that they, themselves, are just as immature as they believe him to be. If you don’t like what Jess has to say, or you think he is full of sh!t then why did you click this thread, go through the trouble of reading it, and then post your own opinion? Just goes to show that people enjoy attention, whether that be in his favor or playing devil’s advocate (or just arguing against him). Everyone is a glutton for attention in one form or another, I suppose thats why its one of the primal needs of the human psyche.

Trying to call someone out, or comparing them to the children of a close friend is childish in itself, if you are mature enough to be of age for children of that type, why are you arguing with other kids (or adults) on the internet, its almost counter to what you apparently stand for. If people have a problem with the thread, kindly stifle your itchy trigger finger from clicking this thread (or refreshing) to see if someone has replied to your awesome witty “this will show 'em” cool tough guy post. Although, I do applaud the round-about posts that has turned this thread into the NASCAR of threads. Just going around in circles, except no one is gonna win here, and its only fun to watch when there is a wreck. :smiley:

p.s. I realize that I am only contributing to the overall madness that is this thread. But I will admit to that :smiley:

Just so happens overseeing networks in an airport in Canada gives me a lot of spare time on a computer. :D:D

Those are air-traffic controllers, and they were in the USA.

I oversee the computer network of the airport; security, etc. I don’t get to nap. I have to stay vigilant… TERRORISTS ARE EVERYWHERE. THAT OLD LADY?? SHE’S ONE!

When i joined these forums about 3/4 weeks ago there was nowhere near as many people on it. It seemed quite civillised but now its becoming full of pointless threads and angry posters.

These e-threats are to be looked down upon. You don’t say you’re going to go to someone’s house and cut off their * then * them with a steel *. You don’t say you’re going to hack their account. The credibility of the threat isn’t the issue. It’s just not good form. That’s why you’re seeing a reaction.

I understand where your coming from, and I see your point and i agree wholeheartedly. i guess it’s all about how people perceive what someone says.

When i read that Microsoft thing Jess said i laughed, because it wasn’t really a threat (imo). And in the timeframe he had I doubt he could of gotten through to microsoft to the correct department, told them the situation etc.

But thats just the way I seen it. :slight_smile:

With Jess’ demeanor following him being called out for “threatening” it’s safe to say he certainly meant it, and is merely backtracking to save face now.

I couldn’t really care less, as the guy he threatened is still playing, and information is still flowing. We could have done without his “joke” entirely, as it wasn’t funny, nor was it even remotely witty.

And if Microsoft “could care less”, then that means they care a little. I think the term you meant to use is “could not care less”. Pet peeve of mine; it’s common in Americans, less so from fellow Canadians.
