the bf2 controllers where noobified , if it gets any easier in et:qw i surely hope they mod every vehicle away.

This control system doesn’t sound so bad. From what I understand it makes it easyer for noobs to fly/drive but it also makes them less effecient in real combat. Its a fair trade it seems, and if it puts anyone in an disadvantage its the noobs, couse it makes it harder to learn the proper vehicle controls. But then again it makes learning the basics easyer.

Imo, now that the game has bots, its common curtesy to learn the basics of flying in a singleplayer game before you trying flying in multiplayer.

The way I get it, it works like training wheels mounted on a children’s bike. They should stop the bike from falling over in case the “driver” takes a turn or slightly loses his balance.
However, whilst you can’t fall, you cannot take sharp turns either as the training wheels would stop you from leaning. (Which is needed, ask your physics teacher if you’re curious.)
Take them off and you can do everything you want, but you take the risk of falling again.

From Loki’s explanation, this seems how it works. It just aids you somewhat but it’s mostly “passive”.
