its called kamikaze
Assistance gaming
I actually think that Quake players will have slight advantage at start because most likely QW is going to have the same feel to the movement and aiming as the Quake games (or any quake engine base game), but this probably wont last long as people are quick at adapting.
I will say that my hope is for this game to be much more similar to ET than anything else. I never liked any of the battle field games, ET just has more compelling gameplay IMO.
So do the tribes games. I’ve seen a few of the core SD folk mention being avid tribes players. They seemed much less enthusiastic about bf games.
Food for thought :moo:
I still play tribes 1 on the Splatterfest of Azeroth server european server
that still has the hardcore of players battlin it out there. I dont mind BF but only Bf2 never played 1942.
I just dont like the sound of this noob option, like what “TX_RED_ANT”
said if you get a noob flying he can only do so much as he has training
wheels on so were gonna be an easy target, I say kill the option and make them learn.
i quit playing tribes 2 last year, well it was fun but i was a noob, basicly i played on construction servers(yeh i like it).
About the only practical use of ranks is that you can see how much your pilot has been playing lately. Use it wisely.
Im sure you will be able to tell the difference when a learning pilot takes
off, as that would be a signal for everyone to bail out!!!
that should be hard coded as someone might not understand that signal and will probably end up in a plane crash, rofl, in bf 2142 so many kamikaze noobs, just hoping i can understand the difference between them.
Aye bail out so that instead of crashing and burning within the chopper, you jump out so it can land on yer head.
another noob function demanded here: everyone is kicked out of a plane if a noob is a pilot and the plane in high enough.
So we should have a message that flashes up in the back on the carrier saying:
“I like to inform you that you pilot has the noob option enabled and has
practically 30mount of minutes experience and your exist are here, here
and here(or how ever long he has)”
I prefur the light to say, “your dead”. Basically it will predict your future.
No, it should rather play a VO from the cockpit first time you enter:
Good afternoon, this is your captain speaking.
We are about to take off, the weather is nice and there are no enemy defenses spotted. We should land within 30 seconds, giving you a life expectancy of 20 seconds tops.
We thank you for flying with n00b airways, enjoy your death.
you can jump outa any air vehicle if you sense the driver suxs right, or odes the vehicle have to slow down
now this is a must in the game. i hope the “ultra cool comp mod” will have it if not the game.
I am not sure why everyone is making a big deal of this. I think the point is to make the game fun so that you can spend your time killing things and not spending time learning to just fly.
UT was very fun, and there was a difference between a good raptor player and a bad one, despite the fact that it was easy to fly. BF2 took too long to get the hang of and you needed a joystick just to use the jets/helos decently anyway. There were times where I wanted to fly the helo because there was no one else doing it or decent enough, but I didnt want to get my joystick and find a place for my keyboard etc. This option allows people the option to get in and complete your mission without having to re-order your entire desk.
In the way the noob controls are done I quite agree.
The other thing, will joystick be allowed to use? Or actual flight-controls? I had a lot of experience in flying (in games, and in real life) so that will be the nicest ever feature for me 8)
1st step after dust up, completely invert controls, as they are backwards, or u will end upside down and on fire.
