Not such a great article, seems the author wants to compare the game with Quake and Battlefield but forgets W:ET in the process.

Just one part from the middle of the article:

The whole point of the game is for players to work as a team, slowly gain more territory, and hold it. As this is going on, Quake Wars appears to be taking on some elements of the Battlefield series by gaining ranks, skills, and specializing over time. How well players are able to work together will be key in winning here.

  1. Nothing is mentioned about objectives at least once. This is not a conquest game. -1
  2. Taking on elements from Battlefield like ranking and skills? Heck, W:ET did it before BF if I got my timelines right. -1
  3. Team play did get mentioned. +1

The main question, though, will be how open long-time fans of Quake will be to the notion of making a slightly more tactical entry into the series. We’ll be able to find that out when the game is released this June.
Once more: “Quake”. I think it can be counted as part of the Quake series story-wise, but I wonder if Quake players will actually accept is as such.

So in the end, I think it this article is not really usefull to be read. I seem not to have read any info, only got slightly annoyed at how certain things were left out.
And the release date? As Bongoboy was so kind to fill in, believe what you want to believe. If it is on the Internets, it must be true. (possibly)

I really hate reading trought an article only to find out in the end that theres no new info in it.
