I was hoping for more buffs and fixes. Not really happy with lack of fletcher fixes, M4 feels superior to AK in nearly every way just because the upsides dont outweight the downsides. Also smg nerfs did not feel neccessary at all, id rather see buffs than nerfs anytime. Except phantom, he really needed nerfs but current ones dont feel like the right idea.

The single stupidest nerf was his melee range. I sympathize with phantom haters, but you just can’t do anything with him anymore. People hate phantom because being “melee’d to death” is more humiliating, but now you can’t even do anything with him.
If you can’t reconcile compensating his Katana range nerf, then please rename Phantom’s weapon as Machete, and not Katana.

Miss Murder I dont think the patch is working out for me :neutral: I loved the Phontom and the fact that people couldnt see him as much, I belive you should buff the cloak a little more so people cant see it as much. There for I basicly wasted my credits on a class that basicly has no abilitys since the cloak can be seen more easy now.

For me overall performance is slightly worse (I never have used an fps cfg), but stability seems better and so does mouse input. I think this may just be because I was suffering from the horrible HUD memory leak, which seems to have gotten fixed. Other than that the only change I really dislike is the melee slow-down, which if anything should be limited to right-clicks. Nothing else too notably bad otherwise.

I think phantom’s invisibility nerf was a bit too much but aside from that nothing else i love it. also there are still many things wrong with fletcher and lock on still doesnt work for fletcher.

Playing Phantom is flanking and sneaking up on people and using your melee or, better, actually using your weapon from an advantageous position while also leaving space to get out of trouble quickly. Getting to a place unseen easier than other mercs is playing Phantom. Running headlong at somebody who can easily see you while tanking tons of their damage and then getting a kill, a kill that could not be countered in many situations, is not “playing Phantom”. That’s just being cheap which is why there was such an uproar from a lot of players.[/quote]

Well you cant really flank or sneak up on people when they can clearly see you. The only time you can is if you take a route that no one is on and make sure the enemy cant see you, which sometimes can be difficult.

Questionable loadouts didn’t get fixed.

So far so good, seeing a lot less Phantoms in-game now and the game has now become a skill based ‘Shooter’ again.

I personally liked the post some1 made complaining about the Phantom nerf saying “a small portion of the community complained about him” LMAO are you kidding me? Then complaining he payed for it. You really didn’t think he was going to get a nerf? You sir are a dumb ass.

You can still kill a shit ton of people with phantom the invis makes it so you can get behind people and kill people with a Kek 10 you can’t just lame it up now and run up to some1 straight in the face while they are shooting at you and still kill them and there friend.

I’m also not seeing a huge change in seeing Phantom. Looks pretty invis to me still.

I dont find a big difference in melee. Yeah its noticeable but not game breaking like others have said. Plus this is a FPS, not a melee game. I personally hate it when people are running around with fast mercs like proxy wall jumping all over the place meleeing. This is a shooter game so IMO melee should be a last resort.

Love the new changes to the mission system, hate having to play “competitive mode” though, as goddamn, those people can get angrish as unholy hell. In terms of Phantom, he’s pretty useless now. His cloak is easy to see, offers no survivability (I’m constantly getting sniped in cloak), and his katana is pretty weak, with backstabs not doing nearly enough damage, especially against guys like Rhino.

The guy severely needs a speed bonus, his cloak made purely invisible (with heartbeat sensors showing where he is), and his katana needs a buff. Phantom needs to be made into the assassin he was meant to be, not this halfass hybrid of a soldier and an assassin that he is now.

Aimpunch was nerfed but still too impactful. Phantom was really over-nerfed, all he needed was a change to his shield absorbtion or max hp and the long duration of the hitbox on his melee attack. Still no Fletcher fixes or Arty buffs even though they are obvious and easy to implement.

The worst change of all was the change to melee weapons. They are very unwieldy now. Taking away control from your character in a fast-paced game should never be done. Pretty much made them unusable. All they needed to change was make it so that Phantom’s sword is not a lawnmower, give it a fast attack instead of everything in front of you dies for a few seconds. And for whatever reason cricket bat got nerfed??? It’s already the worst melee weapon, now you get punished for even equipping it as it slows you down so much? Just why?
