Worse FPS and the dumbest change they could think of, melee mouse sense changing, balance doesn’t matter if you cant keep a good stable framerate.
Fletchers numerous sticky bomb issues have not been addressed. Lock on still exists. I believe phantom was over nerfed.
In regards to FPS I definitely like this patch. Last patch I was running a high FPS config. I would usually cap out at 330 or w/e the engine cap is but with drops down to 120 or more. I am on Low settings right now and I cap out at 330 or so with drops only down to maybe 230. But not constant fluctuations. So things definitely improved as the game felt pretty smooth.
For those who have lower end PC’s that need to run at lower settings than what the game currently provides I’m sure new high FPS configs will come out that include the new values which aren’t much higher than what you were running previously. If you’re mad that explosions and muzzle flash are now forced on…well, that’s a whole different topic.
Fletcher was ignored. He needs his lock-on augment fixed or replaced on all existing cards that have it and stickies need to be fixed at some point though MissMurder commented that it was tricky.
Phantom was nerfed in the wrong ways, they needed to make him more stealthy and less tanky. Instead they made him even less stealthy and kept his shield. He’s not a stealth merc at all now, he’s a gimmicky Fragger without the nades that is pretty much just as easy to see.
Crotzni and KEK changes displease me, 7 and 10% increased spread seems excessive… I also feel they were mostly nerfed because of Phantom…
Now onto the bright side!

The K-121 is awesome, even more so than before. It feels much better using it now for me.
Nerfing the run speed of the katana and bat gives the knives a clear place.

Not statisfied with the current Phantom changes.
When people asked for phantom nerfs in the dev’s stream they announced it as phantom was ‘‘being reworked’’ currently and was going to see some ‘‘changes’’, wich lead me to believe;
‘Oh cool, the dev’s recognize that the merc is being a little problematic in pubs where he is hard to spot in the choas of 8vs8 but is kind of useless in competitive play where people sit on voice comms and the phantom’s location constantly called out’
Was actually hoping for a rework in the form of where his cloak would make him fully invisible from a distance, even while moving, but he would be pretty visible upclose.
The Hp and cloak duration nerfs seem fine, as well as damage eating into hp when the cloak is drained but the invisibility nerf seems extremely poorly thought out and the dev’s could have used this as an opportinity to make him more wanted in comp play, instead of making sure he will never see it.
The patch that dug melee grave even deeper, now it will only be used to run slightly faster.
Didn’t like that they bases the balance around low level pub (nerfed phantom - buffed fragger) because eventually even new player become good (hopefully) and then balance will be a mess.
I also don’t like that they keep adding completely unecessary negative things like blood and muzzleflashes that’s just irritating and focuses the game to casual oriented; and if that’s the aim of this game they just have to say it clear and loudly so people can act accordingly.

May be faster but you can’t turn immediately after having killed him, forcing you to backpedal not being able to sprint or longjump in a safe direction
Was looking for Fletcher fixes in this patch for his useless lockon and sticky bug and maybe a Blish buff. Didn’t get that but did get some awkward Phantom nerfs that now are going to make me have to adjust from the playstyle I used which already wasn’t the “Have at thee!” charging tank everything and kill one persone setup.

I’ve done the testing in game before, and the “official” (probably not) wiki even states the speed modifiers, all the modifiers are the same for melee/pistols (well not the Katana and Cricket bat now).
That was the most popular playstyle for Phantom, I did something like that every once in awhile but generally I would swoop in, kill a squishy target or two, swoop out and return to my team and shoot from there, but with the turn limiter it’s not really viable anymore.
Phantom nerf was needed but you guys did go way over the top, he’s now pointless and a complete waste of time. I purchased him on release with real money knowing he was going to be awesome and he was, although he needed to be tweaked I think what has happened is a rip off to people like me. People who use phantom properly and not run around selfishly stabbing people in the back and not firing a single bullet all game, I used the cloak/shield to escape a gun fight or to give me an advantage and playing him like that helped the team and nobody got mad. Moving on the the smg nerfs, they make no sense. Yes the kek was strong but the Crotzni wasn’t far behind it, the blishlok should have gotten some love because right now it’s still the worst smg and people prefer anything over it. All in all I’m not 100% satisfied but this is a beta and tweaks will be often and sometimes excessive.
