Just wondered if SD know about that as there hasn’t been a response from anyone ‘in the know’ so to speak and lots more players are experiencing it :frowning:

I am sure SD are well aware of this issue seeing as it was one of their staff, RR2DO2, that started the thread. I’m sure they are keeping an eye on the issues raised and will be doing everything to get it sorted.

You would have thought so wouldn’t you but after over 200 posts there hasn’t been one post, not even a ‘we are looking into it’. People are not very happy at all and are taking the game back to the shops

Do you think someone could at least post a kind of update on there???

That opening post by RR2DO2 has been updated twice.
One of those updates was today :).

Fair comment

But I think people are looking for a bit more that just asking specific posters questions about their issue (the Tiscali poster and the campus/xbox live)

Some kind of …“we are doing our best to find…” or “We have replicated this…” would be more beneficial maybe? Give a little piece of mind perhaps?

Imean my ISP have even replied to me after 2 days to at least say they are trying to replicate the issue so at least I know they are doing something.

I think soem members of the community feel a little bit ‘abandonned’ :frowning:

you miss this ?
We’ve provided people connection signatures before to help with traffic shaping. If this would be of any help for you?

How does your classification work though, as the only TCP traffic we have is a simple auth handshake with a server and some data transfers. Such a signature would be similar to most TCP traffic on the internet, not just P2P. I think you will have to rethink your filters, as they appear to be overly generic.
Guees I must have as I just been throught that whole thread and can’t find that lin at all :?

If there is anything that can be provided to help that would be great.

But as i say, i can’t see that information in that thread on teh community forum :?

RRSDo2 has only posted 3 times…start, asking about Tiscali yesterday and once more yesterday about Xbox Live… :frowning:

o/ @ Pondy

RR2DO2 just posted an update here to try -

What would help tracking down this problem is if you could make a capture of your network traffic when you’re experiencing connection reset issues. I’d suggest doing this only if you’re somewhat familiar with computer networking (otherwise getting the right data might prove to be more hassle than it’s worth).

What you need to do:

 1. Download the Wireshark network analyser here: http://www.wireshark.org/download.html
 2. Install Wireshark.
 3. Start Wireshark.
 4. Under Edit -> Preferences -> Capture, select the network interface you’re using for your Internet connection. Click OK.
 5. Shut down all programs that might be using your network. Browser, email client, IM client, etc. You don’t want to capture traffic from those programs inadvertently, and I don’t want to know your email account password.
 6. Start a capture in Wireshark: Capture -> Start.
 7. Start ETQW and do whatever you have been doing to get the connection reset problem.
 8. Stop the capture in Wireshark: Capture -> Stop.
 9. Save the capture: File -> Save

Now zip that capture file and also include the demonware.log file that was created during the session you just captured. Then upload the zip file somewhere. You can post the URL here, or PM it to me if you don’t want everybody to see your traffic flows. Please describe exactly what you were doing to get the error to occur.

2 days until I get my copy - hope its fixed by then :frowning:

Yep Just seen that Vio, got Wireshark so will do some tests and captures later on.
