Are these configs allowed or bannable?

How? I use Shadowplay FPS counter which isnt visible in scrs and such
i have an i7 4790k and two GTX 980s in SLI and unless I have One Frame Interval turned on, I get around 110 at best. It dips hard when there’s a lot going on though
I really don’t get how anyone could call this a “hack” though.
I have a 4770k and a gtx780 and typically get 144fps (locked there). Sounds like you might want to turn off SLI for the game or try and copy over some other UE3 games SLI profile. As you are probably aware, SLI can and will cause lots of issues for new games that don’t have proper profiles.
have to make OneFrame true to get playable fps, because it increases input lag.
In most cases the input lag gain from this is so miniscule that it doesn’t make a difference at all, placebo if you will. I definitely prefer having my fps at 200-250 with oneframe on than have my fps dip below my monitor’s refresh rate with it off.

I wondered why I can’t aim in this game until i found out it’s that option.
When moving the mouse you wont register it, but when shooting(holding down mousebutton)+moving there is a great input lag (for me at least). With a sniper it’s ok but not with a mg
However without this option i can’t get stable fps so i can’t aim either -> GG
@Twenty open console and write “stat fps” and go in game, or record a video with that on actually of a game and let’s see your 200fps :>
anyways I’m currently using these configs. Currently these configs give more than FPS boost, they give an advantage I agree. I don’t like and I rather play like it was meant to be played but it’s impossible being top player in a game if you get 40-50fps when stuff start happening
The optimization of this game is horrible and everyone should agree on it, even on the low settings most of are forced to use OneFrameInterval (I’m still using it even with these) and there are so many times I wish I could just play this normally.
- You should be allowed to use configs that gives you better FPS
- devs should limit some of the commands
- You don’t whine about other ppl having shit comps
- devs should optimize the game better
- people should have fun
Are you playing with One Frame Interval on or off in your video settings?
Off.
I now use the config featured. It’s amazing to be playing this game with a good frame rate, which I have not had since the first steam beta.
The visual clarity is great too. If DB restrict these configs (which you can also achieve through your graphics card too) then they need to provide players with something equal for competitive play.
The Unreal 3 engine is awful in comparison to something like Valve’s Source engine when it comes to competitive games. Even now players are having to remove mouse acceleration, view bob and many other negative features which have been enabled by default. From what I’ve read it seems there isn’t even raw mouse input.
PC gamers have widely varying computer specs, and some have a great advantage over others. Unless you have a large sum of money to spend on a computer you are probably going to be at a disadvantage to those who have, and even then if you don’t have the knowledge to tweak your computer you will too.
Framerate is the most obvious advantage, but there are many others. Most people’s PC’s are rife with 50ms and above input and output latency. This results in mouse lag, button lag etc. Not to mention modern LCD displays not only have input lag, but pixel responce latency. Without top end gear and knowledge you’ll struggle to minimize these issues.
From what I understand, it’s the abnormally high CPU overhead in UE3 games that cause issues with mouse tracking. not that it matters much
also, out of curiosity- does anyone know how OneFrameInterval works? Is it supposed to be for rendering one frame in advance?
I was using the config posted in guides section, for a while, but it doesn’t even come close to the one in OP.
This one is so much smoother, and finally allows me to play at a fairly steady 120FPS+.
I can finally aim very close to how I’m used to, and it feels gooood.

The texture streaming is set off. That makes the difference.

Nope, I can’t get -NOTEXTURESTREAMING to work in the launcher. Last time I got it to work, it messed things up.

I found this about texture streaming [urlhttp://steamcommunity.com/app/217140/discussions/0/846964801617332065/?l=english
After editing this in my config the game became MUCH less CPU hogging
you set the same in your config thats why i thought??
Sone anyone remember the cvar u can set in console in game to change the way in game colours look

ColorGrading=X
hmmm it wasnt color grading is was something like:
Usecolourscheme 1 (where u could have it as 0, 1 (default drab colour) or 2 (brighter cleaner colours)
but obviously “usecolourscheme” is wrong its just something like that
