I was reading the recent 'hands on" article over at IGN. http://pc.ign.com/articles/723/723487p1.html
Within they say that each team has up to 12 players. Yes, yes I’ve read in many other places here and elsewhere that just like many other games server admins can boost that if they think servers can handle it. I just don’t remember seeing 24 as the recommended cap. I thought it was more like 32?
So my question is 24 slots recommended? Is that new or has that always been what the maps were built for? Would raising that to say 40 just be too much gameplay wise (assuming you could do it bandwith and client system spec wise)?
Just wondering
I wish I was at Quakecon.
