Anyone seen this bug with the patch?

(ND80) #1

Just installed the patch yesterday for my shrub servers and have noticed one glaring problem.

On Railgun, the tug goes right thru the gate even when it is down. Obviously, this makes it much more difficult to stop the axis on a map already difficult enough to defend.

Has anyone else running the patch experienced this. I’m trying to discover whether this is a problem with the patch or the Shrub version we are testing. Thanks.

Nope, my tug is always nice and obedient and stops when supposed to.

I think I saw this happen (I was just too late to see but noway anyone could have closed the barrier that soon after the train had passed, and without saying trackswitch lowered.

And someone else has posted this too, so I guess it’s a bug :disgust:

This is a problem caused by having an old script installed. There are some custom pk3s around which contain a modified version of the old railgun script which can cause problems such as this.

Thanks for the quick responses. I do have that timebonus pk3 installed on my servers. Time for a quick removal.

Still not quite sure of the problem. The time bonus pk3 is not set on the server that I noticed the problem with the tug. The only pk3s I have on that server are etmapcycle.pk3 (6 original maps campaign) and the skullmines.pk3(changed appeared of mines flag)…so not sure what is causing this problem. Hmmmm.

It must be there somewhere… Do a “cvarlist pak” on the server to list all the pk3 files that have been loaded. Also, other custom pk3’s could contain modified script files as well. Your best bet is to remove all customs and then add them again, one by one.
