Well, there also is americas army, but that game is sooo realistic, and have hackers, cheaters and nade spammers all over the place. If you want a good online fps, i really suggest ET, witch is the best teamplay game in my eyes.

Press CTRL + ALT + DEL to bring up task manager, click on processes, then on point32.exe and type32.exe right click and set priority to high, click yes to warning message. I ues to have trouble with mouse and keyboard freezing during game play, this fixed the problem.

Holy crap–I know that game is from 1999 and all, but, I mean… Holy crap! Didn’t Quake 3 come out in 1999? Why does this game look so shitty?

Delete any old Dial Up Connections you have on yr machine - this happened to my mate who was a new broadband user - his first go of ET and either ET or his firewall tried to connect to to the internet and the Dial up box was ‘behind’ the full screen ET. Worked a treat when it was removed… doubt this will help ya but!!!

Hidden & Dangerous is old school. Its a pretty good tactical combat game and pretty fun if you play it with some friends. When it first came out I ran through the whole campaign with 3 other buddies. Only downside was that if someone made a small mistake and ended up getting killed we’d have to start all over.

But there could also be a problem with the combination of your VGA card and you chipset.

Many have this problem with Brand computers (Myself included)

My Palit Daytona Geforce 4 - 4200 - 8X AGP could not run in my company computer (IBM Thinkcentre M50). Had the same problem as you.

2nd but also as important is that you are running WinXP SP2? this is bizarr I haven’t heard of SP2 being out, but then I don’t like XP, is anyone on that same platform and effectively running ET?

your post also mentions the cpu but not the mobo make/model. Did you upgrade to the latest Via drivers from your motherboard’s website?

On a similar note I’m trying to get America’s Army to run on my PC but it won’t. even tho in their documentation it says that an 8500 is supported but it fails, but I have no trouble running ET or other games… Are you able to get any 3d games to run? for example RTCW, MOHAA, SOF II, TRON 2.0, etc, etc, etc…???

I ran ET and Army Ops fine on my old computer (SiS 648 - P4 - 2.266 GHz - Geforce 4 - 4200) with Windows XP.

In fact all games that I have run on Windows XP have run without problems. I had more problems running games on Windows 98 SE, Windows ME and Windows 2000.
