Even if I wished the gameplay to be the same as ET, I know those expectations won’t be fullfilled… but I’m looking for a game as close to it as possible (I’m currently playing TF2 - casually). And I guess a game developed by Splash Damage has a good chance to have the most similitudes ; from what I saw, you can revive people, I can’t wait to spam my “I need a medic” bind
Anyway, still need a key lol.
Tried to get the ones from the twitter feed this sunday with a 12s/17s/14s delay on 3 tries, some people are still faster than me. Wondering if there are bots grabbing the keys or if it’s just due to the twitter refresh rate…
There are tons of people trying to nab those keys, so no matter how fast you are, chances are that somebody else was at least as fast.
What I can say is that Dirty Bomb is the first game that is giving me the same feeling as when I discovered ET back in the days. With that I don’t mean that it feels like the same game, but rather something new which I didn’t really expect to like that much, but then I gradually got completely hooked to it.
I think it’s actually a much better designed game than ET. The movement feels awesome even without Q3 physics, and very well thought through (better than ET IMO). The shooting is intense, and provides the constant flow of actions which addicted me so much to ET back then. I particularly like the fast classes with SMGs, and that they can hold their own even in duels against the pure fragging classes. It doesn’t have a bunch of crap I actually didn’t like about ET, like proning, the massive aim kick, and more.
It remains to be seen how it holds up in competitive play (which I won’t be able to partake in for now, due to lack of time), but I’m pretty optimistic so far.
