I wasn’t very eager to try out the heavy when I first unlocked it, but the promise of lmg and hmgs was enough to make me try. My first load out was with the lmg that starts with a “chi”,sorry blankin out on the names here, galactic, and engineer with a light sentry gun. It worked awesome and I got about 10,000 points, which isn’t alot, but considering I did pretty much nothing but kill I think it went well. Have any of you guys had any good experiences with the heavy?
anyone else rockin the Heavy?
I was for about 15 of my 25 hours Ive put into this game. But now I am doing Light, loving the difference between the body types. Heavy takes less damage but light can get to some really cool spots and alot faster.
I usually kill heavies so fast when I’m running my light medic rushdown setup. They really don’t take that much more damage unless they have the health boost and command post upgrades.
It really helps to be a heavy when your working objectives because you can just be a bullet sponge and still get the job done. Although it would be nice to move around faster and get into diff places.
As a heavy medic, i have found you can use the follow mechanism on buffs to eliminate a huge portion of the speed disadvantage; simply getting there.
If you press the heal button, you can catch up to a person no matter how fast they’re going. So if you just let go before you actually buff them and do it again, you can keep up for as long as you want. I usually try to speed boost a light at the spawn and then follow them to the objective.
It can be done as an engi or soldier as well, but because you can throw the buff, its harder to pull off. Maybe with some practice.

I’ve been abusing this as well.
Heavy is my favorite body type atm
I had a strange glitch. I was trying heavy with the shotgun and an AR as secondary.
When I switched back to light I still had the shotgun and the AR. Haven’t tried it again but this could really be abused.

yeah I do the same thing as a heavy engineer

Yeah I’m going to stick with a heavy until I cap this character or make another one
Yeah… trying to keep the follow up without buffing your tower is a minigun by itself.
I’m guessing you play on console where people are aim/movement/awareness impaired and then a tiny bit more hp and spammy close range weapons with big magazines could be an advantage, but on pc heavies suck balls (as do the engi turrets).
Wich is a shame really, cause i started off with the idea of being heavy but then it simply wasn’t an option.

Well your right I do play on a console, but I don’t see how this relates to the post. If you don’t have anything to say other than bring up a stupid console vs. P.c argument than you can leave and stop ruining this forum and thread
I really like the Maximus when I’m escorting something. The other machine guns are too inaccurate for me to use effectively. I kind of like playing heavy operative with the Hjammerdeim, too.
It relates, as it answers the topic question.
In short, on pc heavy is crap and basically nobody is “rocking” it
And it wasn’t a pc vs console argument, i just stated WHY it might be better to play as a heavy on console.
Kill5Joy, he has a point and yes it has its roots in the PC vs Console wars. But from a pure mechanics standpoint the HP difference is very minor. Typically 1-2 bullet difference. Shots that miss do no damage and lights have the advantages there with their move speed and smaller frame.
On a PC where response times to threats and tracking targets are lower your health is more how well you take cover/dodge Heavies simply do not have the maneuverability to do this in addition to being a bigger target meaning shots that would miss a light in this case hit the heavy. Sprinting and sliding for cover/offensively works for a light. A heavy slides maybe 2 feet.
On the PC the game is dominated currently by smgs and lights for this reason.

Yeah you’re both right. Sorry for going off on you but lately it’s been ticking me off to see people talking about how the p.c is the only way to play and that consoles are useless and noobish
hehehe i only go heavy on the pc to use double ARs as accuracy kitted Ars are better for sniping than the actual sniper rifles.
but yeah heavy is a complete joke and medium is only hanging in there because he can sport Ars and a back up smg.
