Any one knows a fast online cheap ass ET gameserver ???

I joint that server too, i contacted them and asked what was going on, they tell that u need to add your own custom maps to your webhost. So the group called Extreme clan are renting that game server, and added a slow webserver to it and put the maps on them… btw sorry for my bad english actually im dutch
So they gave them the ability to host custom maps actually they dont support it.

A better way would be to host a server of their own, that people can connect to and test without spending hours downloading files. After all, with 100Mbps and only one (?) customer they should have plenty bandwith to spare.

U dont know how many customers they have dude, on the forum i saw 26 or 27 i thought :). And how many on one server so :). The only thing i can say if u grab that ip and ping to it i get a nice ping about 30 ms

The rest of my post is what is important; huge customs combined with slow download is a BAD way to promote a server host. I ping 130+ btw, and the location of the server is yet another thing they forgot to mention.

I have 30, so probably u have a kazaa running,spyware on your box, virusses, slow comp, or u live to far away from the server. My ping is 30-35ms so just fine.

I’m not comfortable doing business with a setup where 50% of the crew (jago) apparently has the mental capacity of swiss cheese. This whole fiasco has been a disturbing display of what kind of amateurs are responsible for Redeyeservers. I would not rent a server from these “weekend warriors” even if they would be the cheapest price on the market, because I value professionalism - something they just have shown us they lack. But the thread has been funny, so thank you and bye bye.

You never mentioned the server location. And, until you state something else, I assume that the sever is located next door and has a terrible ping.

As dubious as the time differences between both sets of posts between jago and LostnodeX are, I don’t really know what I should do about this thread. If both of them want it removed, I guess I could do that. Let me know if so - I’m gonna lock this thread now, since it’s not getting any better

Small update, in the interests of forum users considering using the game server company advertising in this thread: it turns out that jago is the sales manager for RedEye servers.
