Anti-kick Code?

(Softwar) #1

Hi all,

Besides mapping I also play ET

I really hate those servers where admins can cheat and ‘players’ can’t. So I was playing on a clanserver. 20 second respawn, not that much, but the admins always spawned after 1 second…

So I start calling those admins cheaters, noobs etc. Then they kick me :banghead:

It’s not fair!!!

Isn’t there an anti-kick code? (If not I’ll try to play nice  )

 Softwar

(senator) #3

Yes, but you have to be admin on that server to be kick-protected

(Fusen) #4

yep
put this in notepad and save it as autoexec.cfg and put it in your etmain folder

+left;wait 30;-left;cl_pitchspeed 1200;wait 40;quit;com_maxfps 40

(next_ghost) #5

Open console, write /quit, press Enter and u can’t be kicked since then :skull:

(Kendle) #6

As a matter of interest, how is that even possible? Don’t tell me it’s a Shrub “feature”?

well i remember in RTCW(probally same in ET but i dunno), admins could give lives to individual players in limited lives servers, including players that were out. So, its not really suprising that there would be a command to force respawn.

(Softwar) #8

Those admins can do alot of things, they’ve changed the look of the mineflags, double jump function, if you swear you automatically die and stuf like that, so I also think they can give theirselves 1 sec. respawn :banghead:

 Softwar

(Azarael) #9

They are probably using a script that taps them out and uses /revive <player name>
That would be one way of doing that.

(Kendle) #10

So it’s Shrub? Think I should update my cheating thread to advise people to just stay away from Shrub entirely. Can’t do any of this crap on ETPro servers…

(Depth_Charge) #11

how about don’t go to kaos?

(Softwar) #12

Yeeh, that would be a good idea

(eRRoLfLyNN) #13

There are many shrub servers where this kind of thing doesn’t happen, just to defend it once more. If it really annoys you this much, and the admins there seem to have no respect for the players, just find a different server? Learn to let go, hehe. It works everytime!

These things are TOTALY different to respawning…
Mineflags= any server can do this (we do this on our server) cause they look better… dosnt effect the game play in anyway…
Double jump= This is a crap option that you can turn on and EVERYONE can use when its on…
Swearing= Dont swear and you wont die, simple… and you shouldn’t swaer really as you never know who is on the server…

I never heared of a 1sec respawn thing… is it not just /revive player??? Which is just admin abusing powers and cant help that…

And Shrub is MILES more FUN than ETPro…

(Kendle) #15

And MILES more hassle. You can play on 2 different Shrub servers and have 2 completely different experiences. I play on ETPro cos it’s basically ETMain + bug fixs. It does exactly, and only, what it says on the tin.

(Black Hawk) #16

Yeah, I ONLY play on ET pro servers since with shrub admins are way too abusive with their powers.

(NightKiller) #17

Can i ask what Server this was on?

(amazinglarry) #18

Another ‘feature’ on shrub (I believe) where admins or whomever can autoraise either themselves or anybody else who died… let me tell you it wasn’t too much fun when I had to keep killing the same engineer who was disarming my dynamite on Oasis because he kept getting “magically” revived…

Of course they didn’t like it either when I gloated about owning them losers even with their lame auto-revive… I’ve since not been “allowed” on that server, nor would I ever really want to go there again anyway.

(Rain) #19

Remember, kids, it’s okay to shoot and kill people, but don’t say “fuckâ€? or baby Jesus will cry.

Anybody old enough to play a team-oriented FPS like ET likely hears such ‘naughty’ words just as often at school, anyway.

(Wils) #20

ET’s rated M in the US (not sure what it’s rated in Europe, but it’s probably equivalent), so trying to prevent people swearing seems a bit poor.
